These are just my thoughts and I would not consider them consensus:

Danforth has a real good chance to be a regular bottom 6 guy, maybe even at center.

TFW is an AHL guy IMO.

Meyer is probably too although he could play himself into a 4th line role with a great camp and some question marks around him.

Blankenburg really impressed. It would be an upset if he is not part of the NHL 6 next season.

Christiansen has a nice skill set but is not ready for the NHL.

Tarasov showed well and got some of us excited but IMO he needs a full season in Cleveland still.

Danforth played a myriad of roles last year and showed very well in his first year. Speed to burn, kills penalties and has some skill. Can play center. He can play up in the lineup in a pinch but more suited for a bottom 6 role that can chip in. Very valuable, flexible guy on a great 2 year deal.

TFW has a fight to get to the NHL roster. I think he can be a NHL player but not sure he truly gets there with Columbus. Tenacious and has skill. Is 5'8" on a good day (looks more like 5'6" to me). I think he's a tweener and will bounce back and forth in Columbus with injuries. Don't see him breaking camp with CBJ

Meyer is another tweener to me. Has some grit and skill to his game but I don't know that he has enough to push one of the other wings out of a job. maybe he's a 14th forward but likely bounces back and forth on spot duty

Blankenburg was a big surprise and even played top 4 minutes. Can play in all three zones and is willing to play the body even though he is 5'9", 175lbs. Big hits and has skill. Looks to be defensively sound. Some talk he could develop into a top 4 guy but I think it's way too early to tell. I'd be shocked if he isn't an every day defensemen next year in the top 6. Plays RD with a RH shot so we need those...

Christiansen has decent size and offensive ability. Adjusted really well to AHL game this year (led Cleveland in points and was a 2nd team league all-star). Still struggles with the speed of the NHL game. He could be a 7/8 guy this year but likely another one that bounces back and forth. More offensively minded than two way play so he needs to work on the defensive side of the game. Not something this team has the stomach for given the record number of goals against this year. He's got a chance to grow but not ready yet.

Tarasov is looked at as the replacement for Elvis. He has a chance to be a backup (good change I think) in Columbus and maybe get 20-25 games but I think they would like to sign a vet and let him play in Cleveland to recover from his injury and get more playing time. Be the man, then move to the NHL. Bright future but not ready yet.

I agree with most of thus but I'll depart on a few points.

- Elvis doesn't need a replacement. He could have 5-10 years of prime hockey ahead of him. If Tarasov also reaches that level then maybe he becomes trade bait or maybe Tarasov and Elvis give us two great goalies.

- I don't think Christiansen is very close to even being a #7 guy. Sacrilege, I know, but I thought Bayreuther and Carlsson gave us better defense.

- I wasn't expecting it but I liked Meyer a lot more than TFW. Based on this year's play TFW is an AHLer, he just didn't have the quick first step that a small guy needs to stay involved. And Meyer's energy and physicality was actually effective for us.

Won't be saying anything that hasn't already been said but I'll throw my hat in.

Danforth is a two way bottom 6 guy. Kind of a jack of all trades forward. Good PKer. I think his upside is that of a 3rd liner.

TFW to me seems like a career AHL player. I never was that high on the prospects NHL outlook even when he was a prospect, but he will certainly get cups of coffee at the NHL level when needed.

Meyer, who I was also not high on as a prospect, opened my eyes a bit. He has a physical aspect that we are dying for here, although he didn't use it as much as I'd like. His NHL offensive upside is extremely limited, but if he keeps putting the work in on his physical side of play, and builds on some of his offensive skills then maybe he can carve out a career for himself. A pleasant surprise.

Blankenburg was an extremely eye popping Dman. although he was always the smallest guy on the ice, he never played that way. Always a trait I admire in smaller players. With any luck and some games under his belt he can be an every day 3rd pairing guy with potential to be more. At worst, a 6th/7th guy.

Christiansen is a guy I see as a likely career AHLer as well. His game has continued to grow and grow in the minors, so maybe I'm being a bit overly pessimistic on his outlook, but he's got offensive skills that are hampered by his defensive awareness and meh skating ability.

Tarasov was impressive in his limited NHL outings, and I think is back on track to reach his starting potential. However, he's got a bit of an injury prone label on him a bit. He's got to shake that. And he's also got to play more consistently at the AHL level.

Seems kind of light for 6’3. Wonder if he’s bout it bout it

I love the work our euro scouts do. Eventually they are going to hit big on one of these guys

Is there room for Foudy on the roster next season? What's holding him back?
Going to be an uphill battle for him. Depends on who they move this off season and what it opens up on the club. He's likely on the list to potentially be part of a deal but coming off injury and underwhelming play, I'm not sure he has the value right now. All world skating but the rest still needs to catch up. High end PK guy but he'll need more to make the CBJ in my opinion.

Very unlikely.

Holding him back is his offensive ability. He’s a world class skater. He’s a decent defender, and he’s smart. He will carve out a bottom 6 role in the nhl if he can stay healthy. That was not the case last year. I don’t know if his future is here but I still see him as a bottom 6 guy.

I see Foudy's name (and TFW too) tossed around here all the time like they are valuable NHL assets but in my opinion, they both seem like career AHLers.
I think Foudy will be an NHL player. Been a tough go with covid and injury the last couple years but there aren't many skaters better than him at any level. He can be an effective bottom 6 guy at a minimum I suspect but he needs to play and that simply hasn't happened the last couple years.

As for TFW, I'm not sold. He has skill and determination and all the things I think you look for in a player but I don't know if he has ENOUGH of that stuff to be an NHL player. I think he's a tweener but he's also lost time due to injury (ACL) and I never give up on work ethic. Both of these guys seem to have that so I'll hold out to see what happens in the next year or so.
