He scored a beauty today, hopefully someone can find a clip of it that isn't geo-blocked. His style of play has looked very north/south to me, seems to be a powerful skater with shoot-first mentality.

It will be interesting to see how CBJ will handle him if Pats fail to make the playoffs. Regina's final regular season game is on April 17th and Cleveland will have 6 more games in their schedule between that date and the end of AHL regular season.

Svozil and the Pats aren't officially out of the WHL playoffs but at this point it would require a miracle to get them in. They're 6 points behind from the 8th spot with 6 games remaining, 3 of those games are against very tough opponents.

Monsters' post-season hopes seem to be lost as well, so we may see him Cleveland for 6 games maximum... or not at all.

Malatesta goal from tonight

Malatesta's skill set seems translatable (i.e. kid is a tank and tanks are good in the pros), but wow, it is not often that kids score at a better pace as a 16 year old than at 18.

It is kind of weird. And it's not due to lack of opportunities it seems, I've watched Remparts very little this year but I assume he's played on the 2nd line with Nathan Gaucher all season. I believe he's a regular on their PP units too.

Actually leads his team in SOG (215) and in "dangerous shots" (100), whatever that means.

I got the impression from Traverse city games that he could be a very effective 3rd/4th liner and PK guy if everything goes according to plan in his development. Might take some stupid penalties every now and then because of his edgy playing style but the pros could still outweigh the cons.
