Kent Johnson Diary, Part 5: Disappointment in Beijing, but Big Ten and NCAA challenges awaits
The absolute last thing I want to read about Kent Johnson is that he's not eating. Ha!
“The food wasn’t the best, for sure. It was a little tough They had a lot of options in the dining hall, but the meat wasn’t really cooked too well. If there was one complaint it was probably that. We had apartment suites. I roomed with
Owen Power,
Mason McTavish, Landon Ferraro and Eric O’Dell. I guess it’s because I was a late add on the roster, but I was actually on the floor of the living room with some mattresses. But I really didn’t care. I was just happy to be there.”
“I made sure I knew what everything was before I ate it. I tried some different meats, but I don’t really remember anything too… Well, one night the meat was duck. It was actually pretty good. Well, it was all right. It was good for the food that was there.”
