Vainio Veeti? :) 26 min for young player :amazed: Is it Ok?

They've got another defenseman who was born in 1999. He's played 25 games and scored 6 points. The kid is not even eligible for this year's draft. Average age of the players is 21.4 years old.

An article on Milano. Kind of supports what I saw last week.

Hope you weren't comparing him with Rantanen and Nylander, two very accomplished professional ice hockey players already before their AHL days, like the article did.

:p:

And Gavrikov was ice-time leader for the Loko in their last regular season game with 18:19. He's played 22 games since December 1st and got negative plus/minus only once (in 2:1 win). Now they gonna face SKA St.Peterburg with Kovalchuk, Dadonov, Gusev, Voinov and former Blue Jacket Joakim Lindstrom in the play-offs.

Watching Loko-SKA right now.
The main request of the Loko's head coach Kudashov to his players:"Block shots" :) Gavrikov will be fine with Torts.
And as I type it he draws a penalty and then scores a 6 on 5 goal to tie the game up 2:2. You have to watch the whole sequence, the goal was all Gavrikov from the very beginning. The guy is a real deal, very impressed how he handles the pressure. He also plays on the 1st PK unit of the 2nd best KHL team as a 20 years old, which is more important than scoring points for a young defenseman.

He made a few nice plays on that shift prior to that as well. The video starts with his hit on Kovalchuk that leads to the scoring chance. Kovalchuk was shaken and did nothing to prevent Gavrikov from scoring. Former NHLers Loktionov and Chistov got assists there. Gavrikov also could score in the OT, but the SKA goalie made a save.
There's nothing else like playoffs hockey. I don't really like KHL, but that game was fantastic. And the game-winner in OT was scored by former Blue Jacket Jiri Novotny.

"Siebenaler and Sonny go way back played together in Cleveland back in 11/12 as U16s so probably more of a "haha you got your butt kicked" tweet"

Veeti Vainio was speared, only to survive and come back to high stick himself out of the game later on.

Meanwhile their head coach was also evicted for showing :sarcasm: towards the refs.

Thiessen is not really a prospect though at 29 (almost 30). He is not as good as Curtis. But you're right, it's nice to have guys play well.

I know Thiessen is not a prospect but do you realize in 2010-2011 he went 35-8-6 with a .922 Save Percentage and 1.94 GAA for Wilkes Barre/Scranton? Wow...one magical season for him! I know his Save Percentage and GAA are better this year but he put those numbers up in 46 appearances...well more than double this year's appearances.
