Yeah, well Collins might have had rough time but I think that is more than understandable given his his frame. Which should always be kept in mind when judging him and similar prospects and especially their potential projection. Sure there are plenty of work still to be done.
I think there is always a chance as long as someone is contracted and doesn't struggle with something else beyond ice hockey.
Especially if there is a reason to believe that someone is a late bloomer, still in his introduction season or just put in not the most welcoming environment for one's blossoming. Dansk for example wasn't really coming along in Northern America - maybe it will change when he returns to more familiar surroundings with potentially much better goaltending coaching and can once again focus on his game. Timeframe-wise it might be rough schedule ahead but Dansk has now been given good surroundings at Rögle. I don't see why he couldn't still turn out to be Swedish top division/NHL caliber goaltender.
Of course for example Chaput had better chance last year and while there are better centremen contracted I guess for fourth line duty he is still there in the mix when it comes to AHL call-ups. How the whole AHL thing turns around... I think it it is fair to give them pre-season before starting predicting future.

A little off topic, but I do think there are "make or break" years in determining where prospects stand in the organization, NHL potential, and in our subjective "fan minds". I personally think Michael Chaput had his last year, some may say Oscar Dansk.
So, are there any prospects this year that are facing a "make or break" year or heck even a season where it interests you in their development?
