Anyones tax return much lower this year? Mine is like 500 bucks which is a lot lower than last year…

I assume you're describing your refund, which isn't really indicative of anything other than how your employer (if you're a W-2 employee) withheld your taxes throughout the year.

I am. But I’ve had the same employer for 3 years and my refunds have been 6k, 2k and now 500.

IMO the lower your refund, the better, assuming that means you're getting the money owed to you over the course of the year instead of loaning it interest-free throughout that year. Or in other words, that's assuming the total amount of money you end up with at the end of the year is the same.

Why it's lower this year than years prior could be for a bunch of different reasons though...

You could see a lower tax refund this year, and this is why
https://www.cnbc.com/2022/01/03/don...fund-yet-why-it-may-be-smaller-this-year.html

Plus you could have changed tax brackets via raises, filing status could have changed, withholding by your employer, etc

I've decided to buy a record player and console. Does anyone have one or have recommendations? thx
I'm certainly no expert on the equipment itself, but I've had a Numark TTUSB for over a decade and it has held up quite well. A nice set of speakers is also a must for any turntable. I've got some made by Klipsch.

What you'd like to play on them, now that I'd be happy to go into detail about :)

Given that nobody else has mentioned this I'm assuming it's just me, but... Anyone else having trouble with HFB? Browsers (chrome, edge) won't load profile pics or let me post among other oddities. Fine on my phone though so must be specific to me/that laptop right? Not related to the domain name change?

Kind of similar question, but not really. This is the one website where I get toenail fungus ads. And lots of them. I have never had toenail fungus. I don’t think I have ever used the phrase toenail fungus in a post on this website. I guess I might have typed something like “Sonny Milano would rather get toenail fungus than back check.” in a game day thread, but I doubt it. Does anyone else get a ton of toenail fungus ads here?

Time to install an ad blocker! Which btw I've confirmed isn't at play with my issue.

Forums sometimes... from the Plumbers group 😂 👇🏻

As it sometimes goes here with a question.

User 1: Hi, can someone help me? I need to extend a garden hose. What is the best way to do this?
User 2: Why do you want to extend it?
User 1: Because it's short?
User 3: You'd better buy a new full length one without the extension.
User 1: Why, if it's only 5 metres short?
User 2: Yeah, but a full hose is always better.
User 3: My words.
User 4: 💩, he just wants to know how to extend the hose!
User 5. You, frst, learn to write!
User 1: fIrst
User 5: That's my favorite, first he needs help and then he bullies others!
User 6: It's getting worse here. I've been extending hoses when you were still shitting in diapers!
User 1: So tell me, what's the best way to extend the hose?
User 5: I wouldn't do that if I were you.
User 2: You still haven't written why you want to extend it. What are you going to do with it?
User 1: Water the garden.
User 7: What kind of garden do you have?
User 1: A perfectly normal, ordinary garden.
User 9: But did you know that some plants don't like too much water?
User 4: No 💩 he just wants to extend the hose.
User 7: You stay out of this, you .... 😎!
User 4: Take care of yourself, ... 😎.
User 1: Can someone give me some advice?
User 12: Relax, don't screw it up. I have other things to do than answer some newbie questions.
User 1: Then why are you answering here?
User 13: You're smart, aren't you?
User 1: Not at all, I just want to extend the hose.
User 2: Well, I did extend my hose about 10 years ago, but it only lasted 1 year. Since then.
I can't get enough of the hose in its entirety.
User 1: How did you extend the hose?
User 2: With an extension.
User 1: Did you put a piece in or what?
User 10: Why don't you just go to a hobby market?
User 1: I thought I'd ask here first.
User 15: I use a watering can, there's nothing better!
User 17: Yeah, I remember that... those were the days. Nothing lasts nowadays, everything breaks right away.
User 1: So no one can tell me how to extend the hose?
User 15: Screw it and use a watering can, plus it keeps you in shape!
User 1: But I can't walk anymore and I'm not allowed to carry anything heavy....
User 18: Then you're wrong here!!!
User 5: Exactly!
User 1. Why?
User 17: This is a gardening forum, if you have trouble walking and carrying, log on

I guess you could say that, just like plumbing, this conversation went...downhill.

(WCMH) — Gov. Mike DeWine signaled his support Monday to bring a joint Honda-LG electric vehicle battery plant to Ohio.

On the heels of a Wall Street Journal report indicating the Marysville-based automaker and electronics manufacturer are planning to build a $4.4 billion battery plant for electric vehicles in Ohio, both DeWine and Lt. Gov. Jon Husted teased their efforts to make the potential factory a reality.
