Gardiner left the game under mysterious circumstances. The best theory people are reporting was what looked to be a very weak one handed slash on his hand as he carried the puck up the ice. Didn't play another shift in the game after that.

Didn’t a guy lose a finger last year from what looked like a harmless slash? Those gloves have no value even a small slash can do harm if unlucky

Why can’t people say Hyman has been bad, he has an insane amount of turnovers tonight. No one has said anything but Friedman, saying he doesn’t think it’s a trade but an injury, and they play they think he was hurt on was Calvert doing a soft 1 handed slash that looked like it got more stick than hands.

Gardiner finished his shift after another 15-20 seconds and never returned.

No other writer has anything. Still no word from the Leafs.
