They have had quite a few slow starts lately and they have won. Maybe they will learn after losing although I expect another slow start tomorrow night. That's going to be a tough one to get up for.

Kids stunk mostly because they were saddled with number 4 and 5 most of the night. I wanna say that’s why home ice is important for last change, but I really doubt GG would even bother to use it right if he can’t even grasp separating the bottom pair with the kid line.Also I really don’t think NJ’s speed is as much of a dagger as some people are making it out to be. Only Harper and Schneider were getting exposed by it.

A lot of this loss really does fall on that 3rd pair, but the offense couldn’t make a clean play to save their lives tonight.

Oh well, might not even face them in the 1st round anyway if the Canes keep slipping.

Kakko can't even get out of his own way in his 3rd year. Lafreniere also looks years behind in development. But in a game where you should be making a statement saying NO MOTHERf***ER, I AM HERE AND I AM JUST AS VALUABLE you wet the bed and need your f***ing hand held because you glide around like a little feather. Kakko is totally toothless and I have had it with how we don't consider him a bust.

We did not have to beat them. Home ice in the series is going to mean nothing. We lost 3 of 4 to Carolina last year and beat them when it mattered. If you want to jump off a bridge because we lost be my guest.

Just because they aren't as good as Hughes does not mean they are busts. You are on a roll tonight though.

Thought Panarin was not himself tonight giving away the puck endlessly but their line was just not on. Gotta wonder what Gallant was thinking. Does he change lines in the middle of the game or is he the deer staring at the headlights ? Kane was in give me the frigging puck mode. I did not see that other than from the 4th line. What I watched was all other three lines trying to bring the puck through the neutral zone and then attempting East-west passes to gain the offensive zone. It didn’t work.

Kakko did that a few times. I wanted to scream at him.
