Post-Game Talk: casino @ RANGER

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version. Click Here for Updates
They sat back too much in the 3rd and should have won. They played well overall. The rest will do them well and I'm hopeful Panarin and Shesty will be back next game.

Yeah overall its fine considering the team they iced tonight. Just frustrating knowing its another 3rd period blown lead. Ill sleep well knowing we are at worst going to wake up 2nd in the NHL in points

Pitt 11-2-1 in the last 14 games

By the end of January they will be ahead of the Rangers in the standings.

Bookmark this and shove it down my throat if I'm wrong.

I hate using being tired as a crutch. Hypothetically Vegas should be tired playing the second of a road back to back, yet they outshot us 10-2 in the 3rd. Down 2/3 best players against a good team im happy to get a point but they are definitely in a rut since the 2nd Chicago game
I'm sure the Rangers were exhausted too, that was their 7th game in 11 days including two sets of back to backs and travel to Chicago -> Home -> Buffalo -> Home -> Colorado -> Arizona -> Home. Not a single instance in that stretch of back to back games in the same location or more than 1 day of rest.

That's a brutal stretch which they went through with their starting goalie (and arguably most important player) injured and not playing any of them. 3-3-1 in that stretch is not bad at all. 4-3-1 with Shesty out. First place in the metro.

Kakko made some really sick plays tonight. One pass in OT in particular really stood out. High IQ pass in the OZone keeping the play onside. He has been a legit 2 way top 6 winger. Not just a kid fighting for a chance but a line driver. Really happy to see considering he's still young as hell and like 6 years away from his prime.

He's fun to watch now, but I can only imagine the treat we're in for when he's 25+

I don't need to kiss this teams ass when they do what they are supposed to do.

Not sure why you're angry at me for pointing out the obvious, and not at this team for being incredibly dissapointing, but I think it's a deflection because you don't want to deal with reality - that's something you'll need to work through, not me.

And I hate to break this too you, I have been around all season talking about how this team does not play the right way and it would come back to bite them in the ass - and what do you know! That happened.
I have a quick question for you and not looking for a fight, How long have you been a “fan” of the Rangers?
Now for a comment your posts make a 60+ year actual fan want to vomit

Yeah, that's why people have me on their ignore list, unlike you.

If you think this team is going nowhere, then why do you post here? Why are you absent when they are playing up to snuff?

Is this you?

You must care about when someone puts someone on an ignore list but I couldn't care less.

Why can't you admit that they have problems beating actual good teams and that is concerning?

Oh and by the way, go check the posts around the end of the second period, see if you see my name posting something positive.

After that, they had 2 shots in the 3rd period and lost in the shootout.

Have you ever heard of this thing called a jinx?

Yeah i get it but this season everyone is going to have a truncated schedule like that, especially down the stretch. Being tired cant be an excuse all year.

And i am vocally optimistic about this team, but theyve got some serious 5v5 issues to work out. Hopefully the practice time coming up gets them figured out. It worked last time they had a few days off.

38 years.

My posts make you vomit but the play of this team doesn't? You have odd priorities.

It's definitely not an excuse, just point out that the last couple weeks were a brutal stretch for this team regardless of who their opponents were and there are worse things than going 4-3-1 without Shesterkin and with Panarin missing the last game.

The team is clearly struggling to put everything together but they're still finding ways to keep their head above water. Bad teams go 0-6-1 or 1-5-1 or something like that on that stretch. Great teams firing on all cylinders could go 6-1. 4-3-1 is keeping our head above water and considering the circumstances I'm not going to overreact about it.

60+ years you’ve seen one Cup …

It’s okay for posters to be pissed - angry - demanding.

This is NYC - The teams in Manhattan have let us down for decades.

Probably best to quit feeding it…and maybe it will go away. It chases ambulances.
Hey! Mandar! There you are!

Where have you been my friend?

I've been waiting for you to tell me how right I was when I told you that their play wasn't sustainable and then you tried to dunk on me about it but then what I said would happen ACTUALLY happened! Remember that?

Yeah some players are visibly flagging from their previous standards, like Hunt, Rooney and Miller eg. Then we have the injuries and illnesses. The Xmas break is welcome.

A little bit rich coming from a guy who got upset when someone said they can see your posts even though they blocked you.

And I won't place you on ignore but I won't continue this little diatribe until you show me where I said this latest stretch isn't concerning.

Nah, didn't get upset, just having fun with the guy, I even said "That's ok" in the post.

Lack of saying it is also saying it.

First place then, first place now.

Not really, I enjoy watch the progress albeit slow, but I understand the criticism because 1 cup in 80 years can do that to you.
But your Constant unhappiness is not necessary
What are your priorities?
