This is only the 3rd "playoff" team they've played since Nov 8 so it's not really their fault that they haven't beaten a playoff team in that time frame. You have the tight losses vs Toronto and Vegas and the two Colorado losses. And why are we using teams currently in playoff position as the benchmark? How about any team that's in the playoff hunt? Boston is 1 point out with FOUR games in hand, do they not count? CBJ is 2 points out with 2 games in hand. Philly is 4 points out with 2 games in hand. SJ is only 3 points out. Nashville wasn't in a playoff spot when they beat us, do they still count?
You can only play the teams in front of you and a season is full of ebbs and flows. If they're still unable to beat playoff teams in March and April, then we have a problem.
Instead right now we're first in the Metro and tied for first in the league. This team isn't perfect and they're not really playing their best but I'm sorry, they're good. They're not great and they're finding their way but at the very least they're good.
