The Hughes brothers actually staying healthy is the biggest question for the Devils going forward.
losing a child and being scratched at the same time hurt him. Emotions are difficult, while it might not be "logical" for him to hate the Canes organization but that's what happened.Erik Haula having a big hate boner for the Canes and also losing to them nearly every year since is kinda hilarious, well except that one part where he was with the Bruins.
And they might add the third Hughes. As great as they are (especially Quinn and Jack) can they survive playoff hockey? The Hughes brothers actually staying healthy is the biggest question for the Devils going forward.
they were missing more than jack, that has to be the most injured blue line in the playoffs in a decade
Dude my mom's deadEveryone and their mothers had Carolina in 5.
That's just not true.losing a child and being scratched at the same time hurt him. Emotions are difficult, while it might not be "logical" for him to hate the Canes organization but that's what happened.
And even she knew it was gonna be over in 5Dude my mom's dead

After the miscarriage, he asked for a leave from the team and was granted it. The organization, players, and fans were very supportive of him and his wife during this time. The falling out came a while later when he was frustrated with his playing time and got in Brind'Amour's face about it giving him an ultimatum to play more minutes, and from everything I've heard, specifically threw other players under the bus in front of the whole team while ranting about it.
He was traded as soon as they could find a taker after this happened.
Completely agree. Kochetkov also must have been nervous. He was jittery. Couldn't stay in position for a save. Rebound control was nonexistant. He settled in later. But both he and Andersen play way better when they see action throughout the game.this is the canes best chance at the cup if Andersen returns and plays like he did before. I think the problem with Carolina goalies is that they don’t see enough shots and when they do they are typically high danger. Andersen has been good in the net and I would say probably the best goalie in Carolina history (if he wins the cup).
Nothing to take so personally.Always close. Even our sweeps aren’t sweeps!

Full frontal attack - and not backin' down even for a moment. Brind'Amour armor style. I can dig it - can you as The Warriors - movie-79Completely agree. Kochetkov also must have been nervous. It's hard to say this with any certainty, but one of the greatest weaknesses of the Brind'Amour system is from one of its greatest strengths - shot suppression. Because the system limits chances, goalies sometimes go whole periods without seeing meaningful work. When you then get an odd man rush against, a cold goalie may find that harder to save than the other goalie, who has already made 7 odd man rush saves this period.
Aho is definition of clutch
Rock steady as a river of points. But also humble as a pie. Aho.You expect some dropoff regular season to post, but Aho continues to do his thing at the point per game mark. Since the Canes started making the playoffs (18-19), he's equal to Point (and Matthews if you round up) and north of Pastrnak, M. Tkachuk, Panarin and Barkov in playoff P/GP.
