The last 2 game winners were scored almost immediately on the PP off excellent execution on set plays.

Meanwhile we spend 75% of every PP skating sprints up and down the ice because we struggle to even enter the zone. Our inability to really generate anything with the man advantage is absolutely the difference in this lost series.

For the Canes, I hope you figure out the missing pieces of the puzzle. Regardless of how it ends, it's been another fun rollercoaster ride. Most of all, I am happy that most of you really aren't jerks and are easy to cheer for and support.

The media, in general, is working with what they've got story wise with AI to aid them re; trends. We aren't the new kid on the block anymore. If we had someone lighting it up like last round or a great personal story to highlight, those would be talking points. Unfortunately, what the Canes are giving them at the moment is an inability to score, losses and an ECF losing streak. It stinks but it is what it is.

Welcome to the big stage and the pressure that comes with it. Upsets, bad breaks and losses are as much a part of it as winning and is what makes it intriguing. For some in our fanbase around the web, constructive criticism is one thing but hopefully, someday they will act like we have been there before and take an L with some grace without feeling so put upon. Sadly, it is becoming part of our reputation and coloring the lens about our team especially with the media. Let the results do the talking.

He's still not really close to the player we have needed him to be. And this stretches back to the regular season.

Just an overall disappointment of a year for him.

The best part about this series: the Canes averaged 5 goals per game against AHL goalies on the previous series against the Devils, and are now averaging .25 goals or whatever per 60 against the Imma Getchu Cats.

So it's very clear what the problem is.

Don't kill him. Raanta would somehow get injured in that melee by a stray puck or a flinch at the bench, and then you'd need the zamboni driver.

Both goalies still have way too many reoccurring injuries to be relied upon consistently, and even when they’re healthy, they typically only go 4-5 games before they have one where they absolutely shit the bed.

But it’s hard to argue against the performance they’ve had in the playoffs.

I can see them going back to Andersen/Kochetkov next year. But you need a strong #3 if you do that, because as you point out you need a goalie who can come up and pair with Kochetkov when Andersen has a nagging injury.
