BTW, if I'm tracking right, we're now 4 games away from both Conference Finals in both leagues (NBA, NHL) beings sweeps. What a weird week.
we have scored as many PP goals as them. a PP isnt going to score every game.Among other items, another playoff series where a team’s PP has been the difference maker against us. Games 2 & 3 decided by our inability to kill the penalty (regardless of penalty merits) and of course our inability to score on our own PP’s.
The last 2 game winners were scored almost immediately on the PP off excellent execution on set plays.Among other items, another playoff series where a team’s PP has been the difference maker against us. Huh. Timing matters.we have scored as many PP goals as them. a PP isnt going to score every game.
PPs/Game
1: 6 Us, 3 Them
2: 3 Us, 3 Them
3: 1 Us, 4 Them
magically Florida went from a penalty laden team to almost It’s a fact that our PP didn’t come though in games 2&3 whereby theirs did
sure does but that isnt how percentages work. especially when you are limited to 1 attempt in a game.Huh. Timing matters.
It’s a cold fact that they won games 2&3 by cashing in on the PP where we didn’t, 0 for 4. And our PK failed at key times just like against Boston and Tampa.
I'll go farther... Florida allocated about 1/8 of their cap to Bob. It is absolutely fair that he is dominating their results, even though it really sucks for us....But as a goalie, the goalie is part of the team. So even if you want to say our skaters have been better, that's fair but as a team we haven't been better.
Yes. Several.'Canes outshot Panthers 32-17.
He's stopped the very best scorers in the NHL.
Have we ever seen a Goalie dominate so much in the NHL POs?
Reverse sweep!Just win the next four and none of this matters.
If he helps Florida bring home the Cup, they may make that 1/4.I'll go farther... Florida allocated about 1/8 of their cap to Bob. It is absolutely fair that he is dominating their results, even though it really sucks for us.
Haven't won since TT returned. Gotta kill him.
He's still not really close to the player we have needed him to be. And this stretches back to the regular season.Jokes aside, he actually looked ok last night. Was battling more than the previous 2 games.
Haven't won since TT returned. Gotta kill him.
I can see them going back to Andersen/Kochetkov next year. But you need a strong #3 if you do that, because as you point out you need a goalie who can come up and pair with Kochetkov when Andersen has a nagging injury. So does this series change the future plans as far as goaltending goes?
Both goalies still have way too many reoccurring injuries to be relied upon consistently, and even when they’re healthy, they typically only go 4-5 games before they have one where they absolutely shit the bed.
But it’s hard to argue against the performance they’ve had in the playoffs.
