I think its time to trade Turbo. He doesnt exactly have a great attitude. Doesnt like to practice, maybe he is a dampening presence on the team?

Brady Skjei’s last 16 playoff games for Carolina:
0g 0a (0 points) -3 +/-

That one surprised me.

E: And no, I don't blame Skjei or so. But no points in sixteen games as a top-4 defender is something.
He's basically a replacement level player that can skate well. He'd probably get roasted without a guy like Pesce babysitting him.

Maybe Aho isn’t really that good? Or not as good as Bergeron or Point or the other top centers in the league?
I seem to think it has somthjng to do with how bad their ice is, combine that with spending a full period of hockey on the PK (almost the exact same unit as the PP) and you have the ingredients for a gassed and sloppy pp.

He cross checked a guy in the face and then acted like a 5 year old having a tantrum.
I’ll have to check a replay but my point stands about them taking liberties with him away from the play. And the booing started from the first time he held the puck in game 3, had nothing to do with that crosscheck.

Especially considering he was top 10 among D men in 5v5 points this year

Aho and Svechnikov have to be the Canes’ best. Marchand, Pasternak and Bergeron have been the best Bruins. It’s really that simple.

That, and stay out the box…geez.

Hasn't Turbo been one of our best playoff preformers?

I did notice a few games ago, NYR I believe. Hurricanes had a two goal lead, timeout was called, Timmy drew up a defensive play and the opposing team immediately scored off the faceoff with a set play. They cut away from it pretty quick but Turbo was staring down Gleason big time, had a total look of disgust on his face.

Turbo is also maybe a little pissy because he's not been playing with Aho lately? Either way, imo Turbo is the least of their problems.

Now if only more women would get this.

My husband and I met because of sports. Game time is sacred. If we're not watching a game together, then we definitely don't interrupt the other trying to watch their game.

(For the record, I'm the one who started the argument, so I have only myself to blame.)

I got into an argument with my husband and missed the game. Moral of the story: don't get into an argument with your husband on a game day.

you might be glad you missed this one. hope all is well.

disappointing last 23 minutes.

not much else you can say.

I mean, it's probably time to have that conversation. It's not like this is the first time he's been completely taken out of the game against a top tier opponent in the playoffs.
I think it’s probably more of an off season conversation. I to be honest have felt this way the whole time, but not to an extreme. I think he just needs more help and would be best utilized as a 1a/1b kind of top center. I think he’s one of the better centers in the league but not “elite”, and as such shouldn’t be counted on to put the team on his shoulders. I think Trocheck has nearly given us that level of help these last couple of years and will be pretty sorely missed. JK has not shown anything to suggest he’s that level yet.

We need a couple of more top line guys or for Svech and Jarvis to have a whole next level. Or Necas for that matter. I could see us swapping out Necas or even TT for someone more straight line and strong like a Boeser.

Or it’s all overreaction, we’re probably gonna win out the series and go two or three more rounds with Aho leading the way and shutting all that up. Equally possible at this point.
