I hope so. But Sullivan is terrible at managing young talent. So it still looks like quantity over quality for me.. I’d rather have done a swap of Necas for Guentzel. That is a monster return, amazing deal for Penguins.
Necas for Guentzel was never going to happen in a deadline rental deal. That’s unrealistic expectations.I hope so. But Sullivan is terrible at managing young talent. So it still looks like quantity over quality for me.. I’d rather have done a swap of Necas for Guentzel.
The way we're sinking, he wouldn't have helped. If you look at the totality of what we got it's pretty good. And we desperately need to build for the future.. We can miss on two of those prospects but if even one turns out it was smart move. Hopefully all of them but...Necas for Guentzel was never going to happen in a deadline rental deal. Likely gonna get a top 10 pick this year.

They as a group don’t seem to grasp trade deadline deals and what rentals are worth. To be fair, they’ve rooted for a really good team that doesn’t do a lot of selling so maybe it’s a new experience for them. Necas, Hoglander, multiple first rounders…..it doesn’t matter that no one gets that. This trade is seriously the biggest rental haul I’ve ever seen in 20 plus years and they’re complaining. And I’d rather go to bed each night with Margot Robbie than my wife but that’s about as realistic as your proposal.
Carolina doesnt have an AHL affiliate due to Chicago screwing us, so we have players playing on teams all over.Anybody know why Ty Smith is still playing for Wilkes-Barre Scranton? He had an assist with them tonight.

Yeah cause you guys are so far out of the playoffs for the first time. In what world is taking back Michael Bunting in the trade and wanting more NHL ready prospects signals a rebuild?Call it what you will but it's the first time they've been sellers. That's progress in my book.
Canucks can trade him next season when crosby is availableYes, that's what happens when you shoot at an unsustainable 20.6%. He's currently on pace for 40 points and due for a regression next season

Tell that to your wife and see reactionAnd I’d rather go to bed each night with Margot Robbie than my wife but that’s about as realistic as your proposal.
The funny thing is Vancouver has their own mediocre overpaid 3rd line winger they couldve included that Dubas loves.. MikheyevDubas must love keeping Bunting employed.
I wonder if Vancouver had Bunting if the trade would've went through.
