Imagine this, their are Tampa fans who seriously believe the refs favoured Toronto that game.

Leafs were fortunate for the quick whistle which resulted in Points and TB 4th goal not counting while the puck was still clearly loose and sitting at Sammy's pads.

Once the whistle blew if was the correct call to overrule the goal, the blowing the whistle was the mistake that cost TB the game. In fact it happened twice in the game only the other TB goal after the whistle was allowed to stand because of the continuation rule.

If this had happen to our Leafs we would be furious we got cheated by the Refs. Refs miss penalty calls all the time in games and certainly Leafs could have had more PP opportunities but Leafs didn't have any actual goals called back. Leafs were very fortunate to come away with a win as Rielly OT goal really should have only tied the game at 4-4, and of course OT wouldn't have even been possible with Leafs losing 4-3 in regulation even with ROR buzzer beating included.

Only time I’ve noticed Jeannot this series is when he treid fighting Schenn. Dude has done nothing hockey wise. Maroon is actually better for us, rather his fat ass than Alex bare-boulet who is a speedy winger. Hagel idk why he is talking, Schenn would make him shit his pants and eat it in a fight.

There was a lot of "hold me back" energy coming from Hagel there on that exchange with Luke as well. He's like a small yappy dog barking at the mailman behind the safety of a screen door.

Deserve? We put the puck in the net 4 times to their 3. We won that game plain and simple. Just because we had a stretch of not playing great doesn't mean we didn't deserve anything. Other parts of our team showed up (Sammy) when we needed it. Guess what? He's one of the players on the ice.

You think if the roles were reversed Tampa would be saying anything other than "Dominated, easy win, Leafs are pu55ies"?

Give your heads a shake, we won the hockey game and the series is 2-1 for the Leafs. Tampa deserves nothing except for a flight home crying after game 5.

Destroyed their soul. LOL

I like my playoff wins like I like my pizza. Greasy.

Good thing could haves and should haves don't mean a damn thing. We won the game.

That's literally all they got though, Tampa continues to do as they please without consequence while the Leafs play by a different set of rules.

Try having your series tying goal called back on a pick play (yes I'm aware the ref also blew the whistle just before it went in) when that's the type of thing Tampa gets away with constantly, not to mention on their series winning goal Muzzin had his stick held and sat on just as Paul skated by for the winning goal.

I wanna know when a team has ever been able to slash a goalies stick out of their hands like TB has done twice now without a call being made, or doing what Kucherov has done like 2 or 3 times by intentionally poking at the goalie when the play is blown dead or nowhere near the net? I feel like if we tried that we're in the box easily and everybody says it's an obvious penalty.

Well, I will only say that a win is win. Outplayed, not outplayed, cruised it all don't matter in the playoffs. Remember the MTL that was being outplayed and still advancing a couple of years ago? Yeah only the results count in playoffs. Sadly we have been on the opposite side for the most of the time. This time it was us finishing on the right side.
We just pulled a Montreal Special....we got outplayed and still won. Feels good.

Tbh, I felt Simmons should have drawn in after schenn got stitches.
Wouldn't be the worse thing Keefe could do. Simmons for ZAR will hardly make a difference play wise but pulling Jeannot in the box for Simmons while schenn in on the ice will do wonders keeping Tampa behaving reaponsibly.
I wouldn't mind if they call him up for a headshot and then get a suspension. Just kill these dogs one way or the other. Stray dogs need to be killed at will.
