Concussions are weird, as someone already mentioned. Not surprising if he is good to go once the knee is good, also would not have been surprising to miss 6 weeks with headaches. Just never know. Not concerned that he is rushing it, if he’s ok he’s ok, got a top notch medical team and a young family to keep him grounded.
True and no doubt his wife being in the medical field can help matters recovery wise also

I always had confidence he would be back this playoffs, of course it looked terrible but concussions are weird and everyone reacts differently. The key is to win this series and buy some more time for guys to get healthy.

I never had any doubt tbh. If he's looking like this within a week I don't see him being out any longer than the full two weeks.

Get fans in the stands for his return, pls!!!

Honestly, you could be right. Apparently he felt great after his skate, and was working out (off ice) yesterday.

If he keeps feeling good and keeps passing tests, I see no reason why he wouldn't be back in the next round (at some point) especially if we wrap up the series and the other starts next week.

What planet is this guy from? How is he even skating right now??!!

The planet of "he is a lucky MFer" lol but it's just great to see the guy out and about, feel so happy for his family.

I am absolutely no doctor but I feel that 99% of the time that hit results in far worse issues, but I am grateful he was ok. Just a feel good best case scenario.

Obviously not a doctor either but you'd think he'd at least have done some damage to his neck and would have had a pretty serious concussion. The fact that the doctors said he has neither blows my mind. I suppose being an elite athlete you're just built different but man, the hit looked awful.

there is no bubbles this year/ season
It has. jimmy vesey could join canucks within the same day because he never left the bubble (Leafs -> his own car -> Van (road game at Ott)). Another leafs needed to quarantine before he could join Canucks because he left the bubble (leafs -> air Canada ->Van)

Fully agreed. I played competitively for a very long time, and now I am a competitive powerlifter (IPF & USAPL) and will say my injuries through both parts of my life healed better, and have lessened in severity because of my mobility, stability, and strength/muscle.

I assume that all helped him a lot as an ELITE of the elite world class athlete. I know every person is different when it comes to head and neck, but I was shocked (and unbelievably happy) that he so far has best case scenario.

no there is not full bubbles like last year people have to quarantine only if they leave the state / leave Canada.

I know Ben Hutton had to quarantine before joining the leafs but that is because he was on the covid protocol list prior

Kept telling you guys, you collectively we’re very naive in recognizing that this was a knockout. He had a higher risk of neck injury than anything seriously brain related there. But no, always gotta be doomers around here!
True no doubt his helmet staying on saved him from worse injury

I've never been so happy to see a grown man skate on the ice

He was coming from the US just like Foligno and Nash who had to quarantine for 7 days after entering Canada.
Oh ok that makes sense then anyone who thinks teams are in a bubble are wrong though only have to quarantine if they leave or arrive to Canada from elsewhere.
