You might have overreacted a little. This talk of him coming back is ridiculous. He was hit in the head with a the force equivalent of a hammer. This isn’t about hockey. This is about his life. He could easily have bleeding in the brain and die within 24 hours. This isn’t hyperbole.

He was cleared of everything but a concussion and knee injury when at hospitalThere is no such thing as a over reaction with a potential head injury. You think those paramedics, team doctors and players over reacted? The fact is he did have to go to the hospital. He did have to get a MRI. He will sit another week at least for residual tests. He was extremely lucky.
Google Liam Neesons wife. She died after a fall learning how to ski in Montreal that was far less of a blow to the head. It’s called a epidural hematoma. She had no symptoms except a headache after the head blow until a few hours when her headaches got really bad. If she went right to the hospital Montreal she may still be alive. She died two days later. It happens a lot. Over reacting is a must. If you don’t people can and do die.
The person your refering to wasn't wearing a helmet Tavares was which his helmet staying on helped save him from a worse injuryThere is no such thing as a over reaction with a potential head injury. My response was the day of, when the entire planet thought he was in big trouble. People were more concerned about the leafs winning hockey games then his health. You’re right. He was wearing a helmet. It’s ok, no need for tests because hockey helmets prevent all injuries. The person your refering to wasn't wearing a helmet Tavares was which his helmet staying on helped save him from a worse injury
" The entire planet thought he was in big trouble"??? Not everyone my friend , based on how he left the ice and early reports from the hospital. My response was the day of, when the entire planet thought he was in big trouble. Helmets do not fully prevent injuries but can help prevent brain bleeds and lessen the impact of a concussion if helmet is on properlyMy response was the day of, when the entire planet thought he was in big trouble. very trueWhat happened to his wife is very uncommon and unlucky. Worse knockouts that what Tavares suffered happen on every UFC card and it's extremely extremely rare for anybody to die in boxing or MMA.
They have protocol to follow but the medical professionals don't act like they're worried every concussion is life threatening. What made Tavares injury look so bad to viewers was how he sat up and passed out with the trainer holding his neck.
I am extremely impressed seeing JT hitting the ice so soon, that is great news! With that said, and I don't really want to be a Debbie downer, but I am worried JT won't ever be himself again. When players suffer sever head trauma like this they play more conservative and will never be the same player

Depends on how bad the concussion is , team no doubt cleared JT to start skating likely cause he was able to handle off ice excerise symptoms free first. In Crosby case he has 4 concussions where i can only find info about Tavares having one other concussion in 2010Crosby had severe head trauma and was off his skates for months after the Hedman hit. It was 4 or 5 concussions for Lindros before his game morphed. As long as JT doesn't come back too early and get smoked again I am not too concerned but the truly concussed are not skating this early.
I would not be shocked if he is back for Game 7 - he wants to be out there. Its ridiculous that bieska reportably said on sportsnet that Tavares could be back if this series goes to game 7 like no highly unlikely when not cleared to practice with team just cleared to start skating and do some skills work
no he only skated once to my knowledge and didn't travel to montrealis he ready
highly unlikely since according to the nhlpa/nhl concussion return to play there is more steps he would have to go though to play. he no doubt will be at the game and could be in the lockeroom but not cleared to play. he has at stage 4 of return to play there is 6 stages to return to play . anyone can download the nhl concussion infoI would not be shocked if he is back for Game 7 - he wants to be out there.
he can be around the team before and during game 7 , game 6 he wasn't thereI feel so bad for JT
He just has to sit there and watch as we implode unable to do anything about it
