Prospect Info: Caps Top Prospects General Discussion Thread Vol. 2 - 2021-22

I love the moxy of Leonard. Good players to have on your team versus hating them on another team.

Leonard with 2 assists in another BC win. Two games against BU next weekend should be fun watches.

Ive never seen a D that I can recall that visually at least, looks more like a forward, than Hutson. Not play, just looks like a winger skating to me..

I'm not sure how good Leonard is truly going to be, but I sure do know he's going to annoy other teams. And in the end isn't that the real truth? The answer...is no.

Well, on the second goal, he took a hit to make a play up to Smith who had the primary assist. It was a winning play, and he and Perreault were the 2 best players on the Ice tonight besides Fowler(BC goalie).

I think he is going to be good, I just don't know what level of good. I doubt he becomes a cornerstone type player, but is his median outcome closer to a prime Oshie or a prime Wilson?

I also think Leonard’s game will translate much easier. He already plays the body, isn’t afraid of contact, will go to the dirty areas, all things a lot of young offensive kids have to develop as they pass 18.

I also love the increase in NHL kids in the NCAA, he is already playing against very high talent.

He's gonna score more than wilson(goals and points). He skates better than Oshie, but Oshie has those elite hands, so I think Leonard is an Oshie-like player that skates better, hands are good, but not quite Oshie's level. Since Philly snagged the Russian kid, I'm ecstatic we got Leonard. He's the type of player winning teams need, from a skill/effort/intangibles perspective. Unfortunately Perreault looked really good too(f*** the Rags). Hopefully Leonard can unleash his own "Horrifying act of Violence" on them in the future.

There were times running up to the last draft that I actually liked Perreault better than Leonard and Smith even. Can't teach that hockey sense ability that he has. I do think Perreault has some hurtles to overcome like getting stronger and he doesn't have elite speed that allows some slighter frame players have NHL success.

Leonard is tough, just took a cheapshot elbow/shoulder to the head. Back out on the Ice after they checked him out. UMASS Lowell captain took a major on the hit.

Damn totally forgot about the game tonight. Looks like he had a goal and an assist. That team is loaded.
