Watched the third period while sitting in Airport. Coming back from visiting my son in college. Once again reminded that college kids party harder and recover quicker than old people. Hurting! Haha.

What a game for Lenny. He was all over the place, was a lot more than just a hatty today. He's been unstoppable since coming back from the WJC. His continued progress from game one to now has been so noticable. I'd imagine he probably stays for at least another year unless they win it all but man is he going to be fun in the NHL.

Just looked, after today's games he sits 4th in goals and 8th in points in the NCAA.

Man, Lenny keeps getting better and better. I was sure he would stay for another year at BC, but starting to think we may want to convince him to change that course. First guy we have had in a long time that can jump to NHL before 20. Could break in at 3RW. Maybe even some duty on 4th line ala Wilson back in the day.

There is certainly an opportunity with Mantha and Patches both likely gone. And NAK will likely be gone as well. So there are roster openings, but you can’t guarantee anything. Depends on his physical shape mostly. Can he handle the big bodies in the NHL or does he need to fill out a bit more. But feel like he can really work on that at NHL level where he has access to chefs, money, and trainers.

Depends on who they sign, do they sign top 6 caliber wings or grinder, as to an opportunity. It‘d be a positive to guarantee him a year with Oshie, RWs could be Wilson, Leonard, Oshie, NAK or that type..

I think his decision might stem from 1) how far they go this season and 2) do the other top guys stay around also? (Gauthier, Smith, Perrault etc.)

Gautier is a sophomore so he’s all but gone to Anaheim. Less certain about whether Smith and/or Perrault leaves.

Mine too. Unless of course they win it all this year. Then he's really got nothing left to prove if DC is offering a sure thing spot. They don't win it all I'd be shocked if any of his buddy line go pro.

I’d let Jimi keep getting his reps in Hershey. Better for confidence building and skill refinement. He’ll grow more in Hershey.

But i do think the Caps will bring Sgarbossa back before his 10 games are up so he doesn’t have to clear waivers.

Sutter now hurt but not sure to what extent but to me he is the next center they bring up.
