I think Chesley is best suited to stay at Minnesota. Faber should be turning pro so that should move him up the depth chart on the right side there. Minnesota probably the right place for him for a another year or two
This system is so confusing to me. The Caps have rights to him and they may expire before he ever even made it to Hershey? Is there any indication that Gibson actually plans to sign? Aren't his rights up this summer?
How the hell did they not learn to never draft a guy named Chase from Quinnipiac, ever again?! Lol…Caps prospects playing are Mitchell Gibson (Harvard), Ryan Chesley (Minnesota), and Chase Clark (Quinnipiac). Chase has only played in eight games this year and is sporting a .840 save percentage and a 3.08 GAA so I don’t think we’ll be seeing much of him.
Minnesota won today. Quinnipiac and Harvard play tomorrow.
Or that the Caps want to sign him….Is there any indication that Gibson actually plans to sign? Aren't his rights up this summer?
No idea. I know there are some links to who the top NCAA free agents are if you go back a few pages. When do we start hearing rumors about NCAA free agents. Given the Caps “re-tool”, I wonder if they are able to grab a high end NCAA free agent. Maybe that is me just hoping but who knows.
Miro 1+2 (2+5 and a +6 in 6 Playoff games)
Penn State had a really good club team before making the jump. So did Arizona State. It’s kind of crazy. Penn State has a home game versus Michigan to advance to the frozen four.
When I was playing in college, a few years back, Penn State didn’t even have a team.
I wish the terps would take some of their big 10 money and invest in a hockey program. We have the rinks and the players here now to do it and compete with these schools.
Why not both? DMV should have legit college hockey programs.Penn State had a really good club team before making the jump. So did Arizona State.
Maryland has a long way to go if they want to start thinking about D1. Navy has a better hockey program than the Terps.
nothing wrong with the MHL? It's a junior league that typically relies on older prospects. Lots of Russian NHLers come out of the MHLIn the MHL…oof.
At this point, you’d like to seem in the VHL at least. Not saying he won’t become a great player still but considering he was in the KHL for a bit and now is in the MHL…meh. Would also like to see his numbers a lot higher in the MHL but alas.nothing wrong with the MHL? It's a junior league that typically relies on older prospects. Just don't think it works that way. The KHL is notoriously stingy about giving prospects real time but they still developed him in the 4th line this year and then sent him back to cause absolute havoc for a junior team. That's not wrong, and maybe honestly even desirable for him. You don't want him losing his creative offensive edge over the months because he's been playing men in limited minutes either, this is a solid place to be just outside a draft yearAt this point, you’d like to seem in the VHL at least. I never said that wasn’t a factor. In fact I defended the player earlier this year when another poster said he was a bust. If you go back and read what I said I admitted he may very well still turn out to be a great player. Regardless, I standby the fact that given his pedigree the Caps would probably like to see him in the VHL at this point. Go ahead and disagree but trying to say I am downplaying the dudes cancer is ridiculous.Ever had cancer?
That is my point though. You would like to see his numbers be a little better in the MHL. He isn’t dominating or causing havoc.Just don't think it works that way. Also, yeah, recovering from a big life event and very questionable for a while. This is good news.
