Matt Irwin is a legit talent
Be ok with a 3rd or later...if it's a second it's a bit much but whatever. Not use crying over spilled milk now.
ugh

I might have been his biggest critic vocally. Love both additions so far.NepoBaby GM believers nowhere to be found
Top 6 right or left wing.Ok so where does Tuch likely play in your lineup?
Thanks

Right here bud, liking what he's doing. Finally delivered.NepoBaby GM believers nowhere to be found
You seem to have a preconceived notion that big forwards can’t create. I strongly disagree. If anything it’s easier for them to create.Y'all are intentionally misinterpreting my point. This isn't to shit on our players or that archetype of player. It's saying we don't need *another* one of that type of player. We need more players who can create the offense so that those big body complimentary-types can play their role.
(Also Ovechkin has very much been of this ilk for a while)
RD weak as hell though, gotta make one more deal. If 18th overall and prospects are in play we're still in a great spot to make that move.Tuch - Dubois - Wilson
Protas - Protas - Kyrou
Ovechkin - Strome - Leonard
Beauvillier - Sourdif - Frank
f*** it we ball.
I’d be satisfied with that 4th line as the 3rd.Tuch - Dubois - Wilson
Protas - Protas - Kyrou
Ovechkin - Strome - Leonard
Beauvillier - Sourdif - Frank
f*** it we ball.
Tuch - Dubois - Wilson
Protas - Protas - Kyrou
Ovechkin - Strome - Leonard
Beauvillier - Sourdif - Frank
f*** it we ball.
I think Beauvilier is finally in his correct spot as a bottom 6 winger.Who is left without a spot now? Miro perhaps stays as an extra for the camp. Beauvillier?
I think we could re-coup that 2nd for him in this market.
I don't have that notion. Just that Tuch isn't a player who creates his own offense (at least not anymore). To use the most hyperbolic example that all Caps fans can relate to, young Ovechkin created tons of his own offense. But Ovie of the past few years has not created his own offense. Ryan Leonard hopefully will be a guy who can create his own offense if he continues to develop, but it's not 100% there yet. But the Capitals have needed more guys capable of manufacturing plays, creativity, and creating something for themselves or their linemates over the past few years, and Tuch doesn't address that shortcoming. If you built a roster of 12 Tuchs (or 12 Wilsons or 12 A Pros or whatever), that roster would struggle to score. NOT because those are bad players or those aren't players you want on a team, but because you need the dynamic playmakers as well to help these types of guys maximize their potential. The Capitals haven't been lacking in size or forechecking, they've been lacking in dynamism and creativity. That's such a big part of why Cole Huston was a breath of fresh air last year. You seem to have a preconceived notion that big forwards can’t create. I strongly disagree. If anything it’s easier for them to create.
I think you’re pointing the finger at the wrong player type.
