The Washington Capitals were "we've got too many big bodies who rely on teammates" the past few years. It's not a bad archetype to have, but you need more than that. You need players who can actually help create the play, which is what the Capitals have been lacking. They don't need more complimentary guys, they need more primary catalysts. Kyrou is a step in the right direction, Tuch is more of the what they already have in overabundance.
Orpik and Niskanen were not even remotely the same player (and Orpik cost them more playoffs series through gaffes and his tanker-sized turning radius than he won them).
