The only potentially available players that I'd trade the first for right now are Boeser and ROR. I do not consider a 27 to 32 pick that valuable regardless of how good the draft is especially if you have a pick in the upper part of the 2nd round. It's essentially the same caliber of players that are available in that range.
ROR would solidify this lineup, beefing up any line for the playoffs in many regards. He's not young but if it's him for a 1st....honestly I believe he's got a way better chance to leave a mark on this franchise than a pick that low. And that's all you have to take into account before pulling the trigger.
Boeser is a proven scorer. He's not Marner or Kaprizov, he won't carry the play that much and won't stand out defensively but his shot is elite, he's still relatively young, he's consistent stats wise. And he'd fit well with the amount of blondies they have in Sandin, Eller and Chychrun.
As for Leonard..if he's as good as he and many others think he is, there's no deadline move potentially on hands that should stop him from signing. Put your money where your mouth us. Sign the papers and take the job you want.
