Me thinks they may have some buyers remorse on acquiring Eller.
I don’t think there is buyers remorse with Eller. At the time of that trade Lappy wasn’t working and McMichael was killing it at 2LW and they didn’t want to move him to center. He knows the caps and the culture and fits. No doubt his skill set has diminished and we won’t get another encore here past this season. I do wonder if this opens up an opportunity to try to get McMichael at 3C but that means sitting Eller

Protas-Strome-OV
Mangi-PLD-Wilson
Vrana-McMichael-Miro
Duhaime-Dowd-Raddysh (please don’t touch this line
Eller (could play Eller at Wing I guess and put Mangi at 3LW and Vrana eating popcorn)

I don’t think so. I think they want to try and get McMichael going.

Of course a negative slant makes sense for you —

And the positive does for me.

So there is that

He is???

How long do these lines last tomorrow. I would love nothing more if Tom Wilson got Lavi fired after a big win.

And the Rangers were 28th in todays new power rankings on espn

I've despised every HC take when they throw a fourth liner on the 1st line.

Don't mind back seeing McM at the center position he was always flashed better. And props for him to continue to show on the wing.

Assuming we will be “all-in” at the deadline, is only Leonard off the table?

Some potential 3Cs out there.

This might be off topic, or in the wrong place, (but since it's technically roster related I threw it in here) but if the Capitals lock up Chychrun and Thompson long term, are the Capitals likely long term Stanley Cup competitors again (assuming once Carlson is gone they find a 1 RD to replace him) post Ovi era

Cristall - Strome - Leonard
McMichael - Luc-Dubois - Wilson (C)
Protas - Lapierre - Parascak
(insert 4th line here)

Others: Current Roster Players unsigned long term ie Mangiapane, Vrana, Raddysh etc; Rybinski, Trineyev, Suzdalev, I Protas anyone I've left out... Frank, etc)

Chyrchrun - ????
Fehervary - Roy
Sandin - ???

Others

Alexeyev - Iorio
Hutson - Chesley
Muggli -Allen

(Prospects I've left out & future signings)

Thomspon
(Insert Goalie Here)

Just not seeing a lot of long term holes that'll need patching otherwise, even if some of the prospects just don't work out at all

That's a lot easier said than done ...

They've put themselves in a great position but probably need at least one of Leonard, Cristall, Parascak, or Hutson to become no-doubt superstars. Not to mention having guys like Protas, McMichael, Strome, PLD, Chychrun, Sandin who are all having career years all maintain their current level.
