Ugh. I get it, but... that's tough.

I'm really glad that Lappy had a good game last night. Carbs highlighted the 3rd line's play in his post-game press conference. That makes this feel less like a punishment and more like an opportunity.

Thank God, he shouldn't have made the team out of camp.

Hopefully this lets him get some of his mojo back.

I get being frustrated with Lapierre not playing up to his potential this year, but when your example is a decidedly okay player you’re grasping at straws.

Per HF rules that everyone agreed to when creating an account. Trolling: Do not make posts that could be interpreted as though they were made to cause an argument or provoke others.

If you only come here to post negative stuff and bait other people into arguments, that is trolling. Final warning — thread and then forum bans are next.

I must have missed something. Maybe there were deleted while i was offline. But certainly agree on the no trolling rules. Regardless, appreciate you keeping it tight.

Lappy to Hershey

Well, guess you were right. Lappy goes down first.

I am surprised, but I trust management. they have a much better lens.

I was also worried a bit about Lars and how they said he would be out a while. Thought that illness might be more than the designation. This move clearly debunks that and he must be healthy because now there are only 4 centers. The Caps have already said they don’t want to mess with moving McMichael and Protas off the wing.

Hopefully a good stint for Lappy… we’re going to need him in the future. We need a better version of him.

Carbery a comments about Lappy going down were good. I think one of his best attributes is how supportive he is of his players.

It’s pretty simple… there are certain posters who come here only to post negative, antagonistic stuff that’s crossed the line into trolling. There’s no value to their posts other than to provoke others into an argument and it takes a bunch of time to clean up the threads when they get derailed. Warnings were issued to repeat offenders and if that doesn’t work they’ll need to go find something else to do with their time.

Thanks. I had to take a few days off because of this.

Will be interesting to see who plays Tuesday against Boston. Might be a third line of Mangi-Eller-Miro. Despite have 3 goals in 4 games he was awful tonight. That’s gonna cost him.

Regarding upgrading the 3rd line, I keep hearing Marchand being thrown around. The Bs are currently in a playoff spot, they're not trading their captain and one of their best players, they're just not. They would have to tank harder than the Rangers to even consider it. Not happening.

After watching WJC, it’s hard to not get excited about Leonard. I’m not sure he’s ready to contribute this year, but he is a handful.

Bettman says next year's Winter Classic is going to be different. My prediction: Caps vs Pens at the Mall.
I think getting one more Ovi vs. Sid big game in is incredibly likely but I have a hard time seeing it being at the mall. The National Park Service and Federal Govt are much harder to deal with on stuff like this than state and local ones (see how RFK has been handled ...) and even if they got over that hurdle I don't think there's any chance they would do it without fans (paying) in attendance ...

We’re teaching the kids breakaway moves. I can’t believe they don’t do the Peter Bondra move anymore. That move was unstoppable. The kids today are too fancy.

When he would slam on the brakes, he would absolutely freeze the goalie and give him a wide open net almost every time

Can we also bring Hendricks in to give some lessons on the paralyzer?
