This seems a little too reminiscent of Backstrom.
Yeah, it's got real LTIRetirement vibes. Either way, hope he's able to find a way to live healthy/happy for whatever's left of his NHL career and the rest of his post-retirement life. This seems a little too reminiscent of Backstrom.
Didin't Oshie get his back surgery done in Minnesota? Maybe im wrong. Anyway it also came out recently that he gave of playing golf to help with his back problems.I really, truly hope I’m wrong about this, but given his history of concussions I’m rather nervous at the idea his injury has gone from a day-to-day lower body injury to a continuing upper body injury better treated at home than by the team’s usual healthcare providers?
Need 5-6pts outta the 5 games.Holy shit. Road to the Playoffs certainly isn't easy.
Next 5 games:
Carolina Hurricanes - 4-game winning streak, points in 9 of last 10 games.
Los Angeles Kings - 8th (point %) in the league. Arguably one of the biggest Cup favourites.
Seattle Kraken - 6-game winning streak, points in 10 of their last 10 games.
New York Rangers - 1st in the league.
New York Rangers - Same match-up again.
So much this. Love the guy as a human and I will always have a soft spot in my heart for both him and his pops.Yeah, it's got real LTIRetirement vibes. Either way, hope he's able to find a way to live healthy/happy for whatever's left of his NHL career and the rest of his post-retirement life.
Yeah, that goal and cele was nice. So, it’s safe to say that soon enough Washington will once again be the most hated team in the league with Wilson AND Leonard. Both of them on the same line would just be the icing on the cake.
Why was Sandin not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Canes?
Okay, what do you want him to do?This team just is what it is at this point. GMBM isn’t going to do what this team needs to address their needs. They have a shit ton of cap now and he refuses to do anything to help them. They needed scoring two years ago and it’s still the problem. Compounded by Ovi’s drought. With Mantha off the books. Buy out Kuzy. And potentially no TJ there’s no excuse not to redo this roster with scoring but sadly he’s failed to do so for years. The SC win is wearing off of him at this point and his seat should be getting hot. But we all know Ted is just as lackluster.
Maybe I'm a GMBM apologist, but I don't know what he can do. He's tried to trade for a top-6 F, but you can't make teams agree to a deal. Unfortunately for a while now, mid season deals in the NHL are few and far between. Almost no one, besides us, has cap space and make for good trade partners. This team just is what it is at this point. GMBM isn’t going to do what this team needs to address their needs. Personally, I don’t think there is a ton he can do right now except provide some cover to Spencer on the teams struggles instead of letting his rookie coach handle all the crap going on. BMac needs to take some accountability in the situation and make it clear what the plan is moving forward. In other words he can provide leadership and take some responsibility for the current scenario they find themselves in. You may disagree but those are my thoughts.Okay, what do you want him to do?
