Finally! About 3 weeks too late but better late than never.

With this move, is it a sign that we will prioritize development over futile attempts to make the playoffs only to get bounced in 4 straight?

NAK getting a jersey moving forward makes no sense. He offers absolutely nothing offensively (he would have had two tap in chances last night if he had any offensive instincts at all) and the rest of his game doesn’t make up for it.
Yeah he is the poster boy of a sweater filler IMO. At best he gives somebody else a rest on the bench for 60 seconds

The interesting decisions begin when Orlov is ready. Does NAK get waived? Or Snively or Alexeyev? I certainly wouldn't count on it being who you'd think it should be.
Snively doesn’t need to pass through waivers does he? If he does and they keep Irwin and NAK and expose one or both of Snively or Alexeyev to waivers I’ll riot.

Hathaway gone for personal reasons, so hope he's in for NAK. I'd like those lines a lot better if they'd swap Oshie and Mantha.

Oh, and rip Fehervary being a good defender again.

Gross mismanagement is CMc. Unbelievable it took them this long to do something with him.

He missed about 15 games of Hershey's schedule and made close to $250K of his NHL salary in 2 months.

If he'd been in Hershey during that time he'd probably have 1/10th of that, but 15 more AHL games under his belt.

This move is fine.

Mantha should absolutely be traded if an extension is not in place by the trade deadline. Hopefully we can at least get one first round draft pick out of him.

To me it’s a little bit of column A, a little bit of column B.

The team is not good, but the coaching staff isn’t able to motivate them for a full 60.

Both the roster and coaching staff are due for a change this summer
no coaching staff has really done that here….not for more than short stretches at best.

Glad that McMichael is going to get time at center. Wish it was with the big club, but certainly preferable to what was happening here.

If Alexiev gets waived, that‘s BM openly acknowledging he stinks at drafting. I’d be shocked.

Doesn’t he still get his NHL salary on loan?

I don’t think so. CapFriendly has him at a $70k AHL salary.

Unless there is something special about him being “on loan” that I’ve never heard about. I think it just means since he’s been sent down without waivers since he’s exempt.
