Right but again- even locking a guy up means you are in the fray. That's why guys tend to lock up with guys that are similar to them( stars lock on stars.) Wilson is a menace and all I am pointing out is your point is likely why the NHL won't suspend him or do really anything to him.

What are they supposed to dress a 4th liner on the PP in case Wilson goons it up? I hear what you are saying but there needs to be some base level of respect and understanding who your opponent is...and in similar incidents not involving this maniac there usually is.

Laf, Zib, Kakko, and fox should not play tmrws game.

call up every scrub we have and just go crazy on Tom Wilson. Whatever it takes

I suspect Geertsen will be in the lineup tomorrow. Most likely not going to catch anyone to hit hard but the rest of the team should be finishing checks in ill humor. Walk the line of legal/illegal and if it crosses, so be it.

go or don't go after Wilson. IDC Go Throw a crushing hit on a Backstrom or one of their star players. Unfortunately, I am not sure anyone on this current lineup is even capable of doing that.
I mean the league doesn't care and even listening to Greg Wyshynski on 690 montreal right now and laughing about the incident and calling it pedestrian just further states why you have to protect your stars on your team.

Agreed- I don't have any issue with Panrian's actions at all-- I'm just pointing out that he did jump on WIlson's back and that was not a smart thing to do when you know the guy is a maniac and will likely not react well to that and in addition, outweighs you by 40 something pounds.. A lot of old time hockey guys know ways to take down guys much bigger than they are and my sense is the new age NHL guys don't have as much exposure to these techniques. If you push on the back on anyone's knees with your stick he's going down- if you start pocking the guy in the stomach with your stick he's gonna back up-- I'm sure we've all watched old time hockey fights and they were brutal. In some ways though- they were also safer because the guys knew how to defend themselves or had guys on the roster who would defend them. Some of these things cross the line but in a situation like last nights with Wilson involved, you've got to be willing to cross some lines. Last night the Rangers roster was dangerously unprepared to defend itself . My point is simply I wish Panarian chose to not jump on his back to take Wilson down.

Everyone here is prepared for the team inevitably not retaliating, right? Right??

Yupp. If the team treats next game as "just another" game some changes needs to be done. They should be in the face and finishing every check all night on Ovie, Kutz and Backstrom. Leave Wilson alone and go after their stars. Play hard around the Caps net and push the limits of what is usual "correct" behavior.

Hi people, Big Bruins fan. This man should be taught a lesson. That stuff was intent . Trust me he’s injured bruins players . He’ll never learn.

There you go not shocked at all. If you think it's not demoralizing to a team to have no one stand (either as a team or an individual who is capable) up for your best player than I don't know what to say. The league won't and maybe I'm old school but I would rather take care of my own business. I guess Trouba and Lindgren would pose some kind of pushback but to have none from anyone else for an entire third period do anything is a joke. Guys like Wilson will take notice and continue to do what they do.
Missed the game. Bet we came out of the gate like dead fish though? Am I right? How did Barron look?
