Should be Wilson, but he shouldn't be positioned about 5 to 7 feet from the crease like Oshie usually is, rather see Wilson on the top of the crease and screening the Canes goalie.

That takes a shooting option away and makes covering Ovechkin easier. Who's shot would he be screening? Carlson and ? The Caps don't use a net front guy because they don't want their own guy blocking Ov's shots.

It was a bad game. They played down to their opponent.

It's been four games with none stand out as deserving of pride or displaying much cohesion up and down the lineup. Carolina has been on much better footing throughout from a system standpoint and Washington has made few real adjustments aside from finally getting Siegenthaler in the lineup.

This game was closer but still awkward as hell.

It doesn’t matter whether we win the first round or not. For this championship caliber roster anything below conference finals is a failure. I am not sure how we are going to defeat the Isles considering our struggles if we even get to the second round.
