The Rangers played a very clean and disciplined game. The Capitals did not, and there were additional penalties they took, like holding onto a stick for a good four or five seconds, that they could easily have been called for, and really should have. These were not ticky-tacky calls, but blatant.

Anyway, at least these officials did not resort to making phantom calls as a form of makeup, thankfully.

I still don't see how they helped us. The Rangers have been disciplined all year. They know if they start taking penalties, this series is over. It's not like a team has to take penalties.

It would be nice to have a powerplay that doesn't stand still. And that can put the puck in the net on the pp. What was the last stalney cup winner to have the worst power play in the playoffs???

Can't believe the amount of crying by everyone about the refs. The Rangers didn't do anything blatant like the Caps did to earn a penalty, why should the refs give them PPs just because? Ridiculous logic, your team played undisciplined and stupid and our team did not. There's no fix, get over it.

With that said 3 stars are: Hank, BRASS GOD! and Stralman. Brassard has been the best skater in the series on either side and Stralsy has been our best dman. Very tense game my nerves feel shot.

I think the Rangers game is better suited for a back to back than the Caps is. They rely a lot on speed which comes from fresh legs.

The stupidity of HF at large continues to astound me. Truthfully, this has been as even a series as you can draw up. These are two evenly matched teams, (despite what some unknowledgeable Cap fans would try to convince themselves.) 1 point separating these two teams in the standings, with the Rangers taking 5 out 6 points. As much as the Caps aren't necessarily the best matchup for the Rangers, it's not like the Rangers are an ideal matchup for the Caps.

I think Zuccarello had a really good game. He played very well around the walls and he finally started to shoot the puck. If ****ing Richards hadn't been blocking the shoot, he would have had a goal today.

Zucc also have at least one assist in every playoff game at MSG this season.

Both the Bruins and Kings (correct?) had awful PP's (No idea how that's possible with Doughty/Kopitar/Cannon/Carter). I think Kershaw mentioned earlier that the Bruins went 0-40, or something similar, on their cup run.
