Yeah Gabby has just been a world beater in shootouts. And Kreider and Hags with their combined zero shootout goals were the obvious choices too. If we went with any of them it was a lock we win.

What I'm saying is that Richards should not have been given a chance. He hasn't earned it. Kreider earned one with his play tonight, Hagelin has earned it after his play this season. Richards hasn't earned that chance. He should not be put into situations like this with the way he's been playing.

Yup, when he came over from Dallas his career SO% was floating around 51%. After tonight, it's below 37% now. I only think he has scored one goal as a NYR in a shootout. And Torts ALWAYS seems to go with him...

Gaborik had the best % for us in the SO last season. By far.

And, while Gaborik admittedly was never great in the SO prior to that moment in his career, he's a pure sniper and would be my choice over Richards 10 times out of 10.

**** Beaver Richards. The guy has played maybe 2 decent games the whole season. I'm done holding out hope that he will pull out of his slump that has lasted since the end of Round 2 of the playoffs.

On a positive note, Kreider, Stepan, Asham, McDonagh, and especially Del Zotto all looked great tonight.

Richards has a long sucessful career, wtf are you talking about he hasn't earned the fourth chance in a shootout on this team with Miller out of the lineup?

And you're calling this a terrible Torts decision so you must think the other guys were a virtual lock to score. Either that or you don't understand subjective differences of opinion as compared to objective facts.

And don't worry, you're far from the only person making these mistakes.
