Richards has a long sucessful career, wtf are you talking about he hasn't earned the fourth chance in a shootout on this team with Miller out of the lineup?

And you're calling this a terrible Torts decision so you must think the other guys were a virtual lock to score. Either that or you don't understand subjective differences of opinion as compared to objective facts.

And don't worry, you're far from the only person making these mistakes.

I hate to break it to ya, but they aren't the ones making the mistake. No one said that picking any other player in the SO was a "virtual lock" to score. They said the odds were better over a guy like Richards who has done nothing this year.

Torts has clearly lost this team. It doesn't matter how many rings he has or what happened in the past. He simply isn't feeling the pulse of this team, and it's been like that all season.

Of all the glaring, biting flaws this team has, most of the discussion is the shootout lineup and Callahan's leadership. Excuse me while I stroke my beard in disbelief.

This is the same forum that wanted Stepan traded for a mid-round pick 5 games into this season. Also the same people who lauded the Nash trade at the time (and once again 3 weeks ago), who are now saying Dubinsky and Anisimov would put this team back in 1st. Hard to be surprised anymore.

Yeah, I'd say they were playing hard. It was a really good, hard fought, chippy game.

They had a couple of decent scoring chances, but like usual, they flubbed the setups. Callahan had a 2-on-1 but deked it into Holtby. Otherwise on their good chances, they missed the net.

Nash was mediocre, again. Seems like he's been struggling ever since he was put on Richards' line. Th first line simply couldn't control the puck.

No way, I'd rather make the playoffs with Torts than miss the playoffs with a different coach.

You can put Hitler as the head coach of the Rangers and I'd still root for the team to win and make the playoffs.
