Come On BIEBSNew goal song tonight?
"I get my peaches down in Arizona"Come On BIEBS
"I get my goalies from the scrap heap oolalala""I get my peaches down in Arizona"
If you can't beat them Ban them, then give everyone a medal to be quiet that participated.Did they ban oveckkin yet
Backstrom and Wilson are both out for awhile along with Hagelin.Washington lineup not what it used to be. But if we show up like last night it'll go poorly again. Shocked at our lack of footspeed, could not recover from any turnovers.
Leafs usually rebound after a poor outing, and also generally play to the level of their competition, so with a playoff team matchup it should raise the Leafs performance and compete level as well.Time to put that shitty start behind them and come back our regrouped and motivated.
Go Leafs Go!
Except Holl and KerfootLet's make a pact to not HF trade or fire anyone after game 2. Early days, calm minds will prevail!
Hopefully he's only still here because of the Liljegren injury. When Liljegren returns I want Holl catapulted into the fires of mount doom along with the ring of powerExcept Justin Holl, year 3 of trying to get him out of the lineup
1 day of horrible hot takesGlad we have a game tonight, so we only have 1 day of horrible hot takes.
All eyes will be on Samsonov tonight ..Hope to have Samsonov make a good, first impression for his new team while playing against his former team.
.896 gets them a win last night. All eyes will be on Samsonov tonight ..
Sammy played in 44 games last years and finished the season with .896 SV% (45th overall) and 3.02 GAA (35th overall).
Leafs are going to need a significantly better performance from him this year.
I have a gut feeling Leafs are going to get a better seasonal performance from Samsonov than Murray this year. So today is his first chance to take the reigns on Leafs goaltending battle for #1.
To give credit where it's due, Samsonov did best Murray in terms of workload for last season. May the best option - whomever he is - ultimately prevail here. All eyes will be on Samsonov tonight ..

I agree with this. Effort was fine but the mistakes were unacceptable even for early season.
...What does either have to do with the other?1 day of horrible hot takes
6 years of 1st round playoff exits
Almost like they're connected in some way.

leafs are bad at feasting on and harvesting points from bad teams (sorry for the farming analogies), but great at consistently beating good teamsWashington is a better team than Montreal so I expect the leafs to play better.
