I hope you’re wrong about the Bloaters not being included.
If they don’t include the Bloaters one of the most terrifying scenes in the game won’t be included. That part of the game where you’re in the hotel basement and the Bloater plus the other infected and Clickers come charging you after you start the generator is probably the most tense moment in the game. Could make for great TV but it would also be a tough scene to pull off.
I definitely remember that moment, but I think it can still be pulled off without the Bloater.

There is definitely a bloater in one of the previews.

No idea what is coming. Clicked on the spoiler. Have no f'ing idea of what a bloater is. Looking forward to Rick kicking butt with his close camera shot growling.

Also Glenn surviving a bloater attack would be cool.

JC man obviously man Aliens. Love The Abyss so much watched it 6+ times in the theater. Movies might not be the like There Will Be Blood and more for the commoner hero stories but man I watched them a crap load of them times. The technology stuff not sure even how to put that in perspective with other directors/creators. Have to say the dip back into the Alien franchise..not much move remove to maneuver franchise-wise with studio pressure. Kinda like the terminator franchise.

TLOU is exceptional television right now. Catch up on the latest episode if you haven't, it's some of the best work I've seen in a show, ever.

TLOU episode 3 has the biggest deviations from the source material so far. It's definitely a much more well-rounded story when it comes to these particular characters, and in many ways a better one (although it certainly changes the nature of one of them a fair bit). But knowing what was "supposed" to happen and noticing some of the deviations from the game undercut some of the emotional impact of the story they were telling on screen for me.

A portion of the relevant game footage in spoilers for those who are curious

Liked the episode a lot as my first exposure, think it was pretty excellently done. I'd say that in other movies/series that I had exposure to already this would be the episode that was telling me to let go and re-engage with some of the characters and the world all over again. Like a parallel world more than a faithful retelling, this seems like it's to be engaged with as fresh content even if you played the games and know the story.

Not a huge fan of one eps a week but I try to catch the new episode in the first three days.

That said not a great sign I didn't even remember there was a new episode on Sunday. Granted I was having to work Sunday evening writing reviews for my team.

I think I'm pretty open to the once-per-week pacing of TLOU in part because I'm not curious about "what comes next," having known the broad strokes of the story based on the game.

Fair. There are other examples for me where might not go to the category of 'looking forward to the episode drop' but still kept up with without waiting to the end of the season before binging. Station 11 being one of those. I know this was posted previously but still:

TLOU ep 3 - unexpected little side story .. I liked it just wasnt expecting it. The acting, directing, feel was great. I did have to leave "to get a snack" during the bedroom scene and I am questioning myself on how truly open minded and "live and let live" I truly am. I was uncomfortable and I shouldnt have been.

Dont Worry Darling - I really liked it. Sci Fi indie thriller of sorts with a feel similar to Vivarium. Olivia Wilde is becoming a must watch for me as a director. Acting of harry Styles and Florence Pugh was great, a Nick Kroll sighting

A good movie to watch with your lady if you want to watch something kinda unique

Great scene. I loved Station 11. Excellent meditation on the value of art to society.

Short quick watch, just 6 episodes
Sooooo goood. Didn’t like Letterkenny, but this yes….

Station 11 worth a watch? I’m a little plague weary in my apocalyptic story vault….

It is way different than the traditional collapse of civ. type stuff. There is back and forth time jumps so be prepared but they are not unreasonable.

I can’t say enough how much I like Bella Ramsey as Ellie.

From episode 4 last night:

She absolutely nailed all of the No Pun Intended scenes.
