Kreider deserved an assist on Nash's first goal. His speed and harrassment of caps on their breakout led to the turnover.

He doesn't deserve an assist but his efforts are greatly appreciated. He did the same thing to Karlsson on Step's goal on Saturday. His size and speed makes opponents decide quicker than they are used to and causes chaos. He is definitely contributing every night even if he is not lighting up the scoreboard.

Watch your back, there might be a new sheriff in town ;).

I swear, you and me are the only ones. I like Doc, and even Pierre.

Brian Engblom makes me want to turn the game off.

Doc is good. Me and my brother like to make fun of Pierre... he's just the worst.

As he also deserved an assist on Stepan's goal last game and for the same reason. One might think that he's starting to get a reputation for toughness on the boards and behind the net forcing D into bad decision making.

Disappointing to see no goals from our Ds again.

How many goals has our Ds scored the last 10/20 games?

Staal, Stralman, Moore and Girardi have combined 7 goals and over half the season has been played.

But they got a few assists. The point is (sorry for the pun) they are active in the offensive zone and it's visible. MDZ & Moore are making mostly right plays when on offense, Staal is often seen close to the opponents net and MCD is MCD. Personally my only remaining gripe with this team is subpar precision with passes out of the own zone (including break-outs) and a lot of the blame is on the D.

Edit: Even strength luck of shots from the blue line could be the other gripe.

solid win against a goaltender who crashed back to earth. we out chanced them and jumped on them early. hard to argue with another 2 points. having 2 quality goal tenders sure feels nice too.

good to win games and gather points but imo, sather should still be working the phones looking for a scoring forward or a pmd/shooter from the blue line.

lets not think were anything better than we are. this team is still flawed and only strategic moves will help that. as was said earlier, the lack of production from the blue line is a concern.

moving del zaster and another body will perhaps allow us to bring someone in who's more productive back there.

the better we play, the more likely we can improve via a deal. addition by subtraction.

big buf would be a nice addition

Who can say exactly what we are? For now we are still in this muddling middle with Flyers, CBJ, Leafs, Devils, Isles etc. But the team is showing signs of being more like TBL or Habs. Meaning it's going to be awfully difficult to make the make the right strategic decision and not make a mistake. With that said I actually wouldn't mind to add Buff for the roster players MDZ and one of Poo or Dorsett.

Doc is my favorite PBP sans Sam Rosen. His energy and enthusiasm are absolutely hilarious. His word selection is equally as hilarious. Pinballed. Waffledboarded. I remember a few years back we made a drinking game during the playoffs. Whenever Doc said a list of 5-7 words we would all have a drink.

True. That's an area that really could be improved with a smart trade.

I couldn't and still can't, wrap my head around a new, inexperienced rookie goalie coming into MSG and we lit him up for 3 goals in the first.

I was fully expecting for us to score 0 or 1 goal, and of course, a loss for us.

Mind = Blpwn

Used to be games were boring because we sucked on O. Now (recently anyway) we're so good on O that half tbe game is boring because we start killing them off early-ish.

Ok recent run is recent...change can happen anytime.

Hey guys, I read a thread on another board. This was 46 games in:

First 23 games the Rangers averaged 2.01 goals per game, that would put us as 29th in the league.

The 23 games after that the Rangers were 3.1 goals per game, that would make the Rangers the 6th best offense in the league.

Since then we scored 4, 1, 1, 4, 4. 14 goals in 5 games. That's slightly less than 3 a game.

Edit: Ok I stopped being lazy. That's 2.8 goals per game.

How did Zucc played this time?

He was alright, no real mistakes, no Zucca magic to speak of. Saw a lot of icetime the first 2 periods. His line isnt producing much ES or on the PP so its a bit "meh" atm. Fortunately Nash has turned into high gear.

Took a puck to the nuts on a block, it made a *ping* sound, true story

I like the NBC crew in the playoffs, but they are a little overly intense for regular season games.

I like a more casual broadcast for an 82 game season, more jokes, less intense analysis ala Pierre. Doc is overly dramatic at times as well.

"aua for helvete" But seriously he should swap with Cally or something. Or create on his own.

Watching the highlights from yesterday because I like to re-watch the goals when I went to the game.

LOOOOOLL at NBC and Washington thinking that Nash was gonna go for the hit before his first goal.

Feeling a **** show tomorrow. Think there will be an all out brawl. Both teams are playing good, intense hockey. Both teams battling for life. Doesn't matter that we don't have the personnel for that... I just have a feeling it'll happen.
