Honest opinion was the Erat penalty on the Green "goal" soft? I guess it was a pick. The refs called 3 penalties that often are let go, that one, the Kreider one, and the Earskin (sp?) one. Weirdly refed game.

Actually thought that was kind of a weak performance, to be honest. Not much sustained pressure. Thought the power plays were average.

They definitely took advantage (didn't want to say capitalized ;) ) of their chances, and that's obviously a great thing. Don't think the score is indicative of the game, though.

Just keep winning.

They also played yesterday in Ottawa and flew back last night to play today

Washington didn't really have an prime scoring opportunities ... They played good defense

So Nash is the top scorer on the team and Hank is rock solid, balance is returning to the hockey universe. Hank was great, I honestly think we got outplayed for the most part but we made them pay for the holes they left open on at least one goalie who was doing poorly. Ill take it but Im glad to know we wont have to see them for a while if at all for the season. A win is a win, keep the momentum going, LGR.

Caps have been in free fall for awhile, they have 2 wins in their last 10.

Things are starting to shake out more accurately in the Metro. The Flyers and Caps aren't playoff teams, so its time for them to sink. Columbus and Isles are alive. Luke-warm feelings about Devils (but mostly feeling they get fatigued due to age).

McD was absolutely incredible tonight. Played amazing shutdown D. Good to see the media notice and award him 2nd star.

Ryan McBoss.

I agree, also with the 1st star.

However, I would of given the 3rd star to Callahan, who changed the momentum back to the Rangers and just sent a message with an exclamation point!

Lundqvist was good, but was not challenged too much.

He hasn't scored on the Rangers in a gazillion years. That shot was from 2010, which is probably the last time he scored on Lundqvist.

I just got what you meant. Agreed.

Didn't he score in game 1 of the playoffs last season?

It's good to know that even after implementing a more offensive system we can still shut down other team's big stars. This is a great sign.
