Agreed. I know we all make fun of NHL GMs but at the end of the day any GM has a 99% chance of being a better hockey mind than anyone on this forum.

That said if we weren't allowed to criticize then HF wouldn't exist. So it is fun to manage and imagine being a GM yourself. We're hockey nerds afterall.

As always though, patience is a virtue and that's one thing this rebuild will need. Patience.

Stan Bowman is currently a GM. So I would amend that to a 97% chance. Actually, there's Francis/Botterill in SEA. So let's go 94%. I'm even gonna knock Stevie Y because the Yzerplan was a map to nowhere. 91%.

I'm not against our regime wanting to run a tight ship.

like you said, that was the thing about Moleman that annoyed me, dude just won't stop talking. I appreciated the honesty, but when you broadcast your team's intentions for the next six months to the league it's bound to raise a ton of eyebrows, and this puts yourself at an unnecessary disadvantage when trying to conduct business dealings with your peers.

Here's hoping that the patience will be worth it.

But yeah, I want a true “blockbuster” trade. Give me a Matthews trade or something ground breaking

So yes, is the response and your speculating to improve your position on this? Multiple teams where after Byram and I bet what he signs for will make you blush. The add on about Hughes is pure speculation with no basis.

I think it's a lot more than just idle speculation that all the team USA guys have the same couple spots as their trade destination.

I will be shocked if the Byram extension hasn't already been essentially agreed upon and there's no way Hughes would have done the same for Chi.

I can't wait for him to be gone. Said it before and I'll say it again, I fully expected to hate having Evander Kane on the team but I did not expect Debrusk to top the chart for most hated player this year.
