Allows them to remain in the playoff hunt with Norris/Chytil/Blueger/Raty down the middle and then they can run Hughes/Norris/Chytil next season.

Assemble the Quinn Hughes super team by bringing in his brother and best friend, cowards.

I suppose if the Canucks were waiving the white flag on the season, this blockbuster might make sense. But Francesco and the Aquilini's wouldn't be very thrilled.

And it's going to take a lot more to pry Norris out of Ottawa. He just hit the 20-goal mark last night in Chicago.

I can see the NJ braintrust having some real second thoughts about Jack's availability, as a contender though. If they believe EP just needs a change of scenery then I could absolutely see them talking themselves into it. Both contracts have a fair amount of risk and an extremely high ceiling.

I still think a Luke Hughes offersheet is possible. NJ isn't in a strong position to match.

Yeah, I do see what you mean....but there's just something very wrong with the way everything has been handled (i.e. Boudreau, Bo, JT, EP, Pearson, Mik) by this management group. Does this kind of stuff happen with other orgs and we (I) just don't hear about it? The drama is so tiresome and just drags on. At some point just pull the trigger so it doesn't fester any longer.
