I say wait longer, what if Kuz says no to Calgary

There's enough different sources and posts out there that it now makes sense to confine the craziness to one thread. If it falls through then no big deal. If it gets confirmed I change the tag and update the title and original post.

Well you can't say Allvin and Co are boring.

Gonna be real interesting what goes down.

Lindholm's value has taken a hit but I expect a good prospect to go the other way as well given Allvin's comments today or teams being interested in the Nucks' prospects rather than their 1st.

So I'm now crunching the numbers on retaining Lindholm and Tanev, you start with basically retaining none of the UFAs, replacing them with $1M players, and ditching Garland and Mikheyev's salary. We'll see if it works.

EP-Lindholm-Mikheyev
Hoglander-Miller-Boeser
Joshua-Blueger-Garland
Aman-Suter-Lafferty

Is this how we're rolling forward?

I honestly have no idea what they're going to do with the lines. You have to think the pro scouts made this deal with the idea that Lindholm will play with great wingers, and not be isolated on a 2nd line with Hoglander and Mikheyev or something.

I think it definitely makes sense to play Lindholm with EP and see how they click. Mikheyev is really going to have to step up after the All Star Break. Really need him to return to form.

Still don’t understand how they couldn’t get Tanev in the deal as well.

But guessing the interest is very strong and mgmt didn’t want to give up even more given the acquisition of General Zod.

Well we got our top 6 forward without giving up any of our favourite toys: Hoglander, Pod, Lekermaki, Willander and EP2.
But still need another top 4 D. Not sure what we have to get that piece without trading a key young player. Maybe settle for a depth guy instead and go after Tanev in the off season.

Basically what Dreger said. Flames originally considered it, but figured they'd get more value moving them separately, which is probably true. They were apparently trying to get Hoglander for Tanev earlier, though that was before Hogs sorta broke-out.

Makes total sense for the flames to wait.

And I’d be pissed if we traded Hog for Tanev.

I still want to upgrade the top 6 wingers, would look to make another similar deal using Mikeyev, even though I think he's been okay this year.

A team like Toronto would offer their 1st for Tanev. They’d be better off dealing with a desperate team with their 1st like them.

Id love to add a 4th line checking winger / centre and slide Aman down to the 13th fwd slot. Duhaime would be a nice fit but minnesota has no reason to trade him
