MIkheyev is like 'damn I'm glued to the hip with this dumb floater because I'm the only one who speaks the same language as him.'

Mikheyev has been awful for the past 20 games but this is an effect we've seen lots of times before with guys who have had serious injuries/surgery and then didn't have a proper offseason of training. Quick start and then a big lag.

Mason Raymond in 11-12 springs to mind. 7 points in his first 9 games, then 9 in his next 38 and played the worst hockey of his career by far.

And Tocchet is right. Mik is coming off a major surgery and was glued to Kuz the entire season for some reason even though it clearly wasn't working. I bet Mikheyev will be better off with better line mates.

Wtf he died at 2?! Is this like the Whitler sled dogs massacre? Not cute enough anymore now that he's fully grown. Kill it.

Also died young like his namesake.

And flat out denied by Rutherford.
Those Rogers Arena hot dogs don't grow on trees

Unless there's some context here, that's a bit of a weird conclusion to immediately jump toward.
I stand by my words.

Raymond also sucked at everything except skating fast and falling down on hashmark button hooks.

I have noticed Frank seems to mention Nick Seeler alot as a depth dman the Vancouver Canucks could add.

Has their been anyone talking about that? Just seems like he mentions him when talking about what the Vancouver Canucks could do to add to their roster

Friedman said on latest 32T podcast that the Flyers will likely sign Seeler to a new contract and possibly move Walker. I like Seeler a lot, but he makes a ton of sense to retain since he'll be cheaper and is a character guy that loves playing in Philly.

He's the type the Canucks should be looking at though. Solid depth defensemen on cheap deals that would fit in the current cap space (~$2M) without having to move other money.

Like Ethan Bear? :)

I've been delving into PHI media a bit lately. They are likely to move Walker. He'd be a great fit here to move the puck alongside Cole. He can also PK. Coincidently, he also had an ACL tear in 2022 (Mikheyev) and had the year in 2023 to bounce back.

They're also going to need some forward insurance. With Friedman being carried as the 8th dman, they'll likely only carry 1 extra forward on the main roster. This means PDG gets waived. Kessel would be interesting, but a PK capable centre would be better.

Walker would be a good target but Im assuming he would be due for a pretty big raise?

Rumour is he wants around $5M AAV. I like him as well, but he'd probably be a pure rental and apparently they may be looking for a 1st rounder as they view him as a Tanev comparable. Friedman linked him with the Leafs.

Other names mentioned have been Alexandre Carrier and Ilya Lyubushkin.
