in the regular season yes.

i don't know about you but the majority of the games i watch for enjoyment purposes are regular season games and it kind of aids in the entertainment value when we're winning them

Hated to watch that for you guys. Wow your organization is screwed. At least youll always be better than the Oilers for at least another 8 months.

Organization is screwed? Ask the Penguins if they were screwed before getting Crosby. Ask the Blackhawks if they were screwed before getting Toews and Kane. Any organization that wins has to go to the bottom. There's going to be at least five awful years in the next while, but it will all be worth it if the Canucks get a franchise player in the draft. It's been 15 years since they were picking low enough to get that type of player.

Make my day.
The thing is torts rangers were consistently the best team at holding 2nd period leads nearly every season, now hes coaching the worst.

It's mind blowing considering the style we are playing for us not to hold leads. Mind you 3+1 PP goals eats leads no matter what style you play 5 on 5.

I don't know if firing AV was the right move or not. But either way is irrelevant to whether John Tortorella should be coaching this team in 2014/2015.

It's kind of hilarious, just leave it to the Canucks and this city to ruin one of the biggest hot-headed coaches in the recent history of the game. Torts has nothing to say, he's subdued and in disbelief. Only we could do this! Only us! We ARE SPECIAL!

Every goalie has a bad game where he gets rattled and has trouble recovering. It happens.
He'll be fine, and will bounce back.
It happens.
There is absolutely no way a head coach should allow a goalie to stay in the net when it's painfully obvious he was rattled.
That should NEVER happen.

Tell that to the Florida's, CBJ's, Oilers etc. that sucked for many years but couldn't win the lottery. Well, Oilers just got 'lucky' by having the worst possible years to get the #1 picks in the past decade.

What's sad is we are still 9 points up NYI...... We won't be getting a top 5 pick no matter what unless we trade for one.

this is true but it's kind of depressing when all scoring drops off a cliff when the playoffs start.

wait, what? if i recall we at least made the playoffs comfortably last year. i''m pretty sure when tortorella was hired his mission statement wasn't "it's okay if you don't make the playoffs because they're already bad and getting worse."

....

Isn't that what it says on the wall of the Oiler's locker room?
