Both teams played last night...Canucks still chasing 4th albeit chances are slim. Could be a letdown game for the boys after clinching playoffs.

Hope the veterans don't allow complacency tonight. Finish as high as possible please.


Oh I also have a 5 year old $100 USD bet that ends this season - with a Rangers fan in the US - that the Leafs will finish top 4 NHL standings or make final 4 in playoffs. Bet made summer 2016 and one of those 2 things has to happen before season 5 is over.

Good luck. In uni days, back in the early 80's, I made a $100 (CDN) bet with a classmate who was from Montreal that the Jays would win the World Series before the Expos (what a dumb name, btw). Given that the Jays won not once, but twice, I figure the guy owes me $200.

Don't be too sure (referring to the title of the thread). The Leafs should of beaten the Canucks with their back to play games and lost both. I hope it is not a repeat of last weekend and that Rittich and the Leafs beat them tonight.

We have 3 healthy spares on the roster, any or all of those 3 (Engvall, Robertson, Hutton) could go in without effecting the cap or callup limits. I can't see anyone else getting called up and put in.

I think it would be good to give at least one of Thornton/Simmonds/Spezza the night off, also wouldn't be a bad idea to give Muzzin a break.

As we play down the stretch, another thing to think about, is potential Semi-Final Seedings. Right now, we are the lowest point total division leader. If all division leaders win their conference, that seeds us 4th, and play against Vegas in the Semi's. I'd personally rather aim to be a 2/3 seed, and avoid Vegas, as they kind of scare me. I appreciate that you can't think too far ahead, but at least it should be a motivator, to put us in the best place possible.
