His father passed away recently, and that will create some problems being a professional hockey player where maximum focus and effort is required. im not saying that is the sole problem, but matt Murray lost his father young to, and things declined for him. It sucks all around

he is 72 points off of a ppg pace (342 gp/270p) while being a fairly unhealthy product, is 9th in his draft class for scoring and is currently 14 points in 18 games or an overall .8 points per game/season pace in his career.

It's not a slouch of a player, there's just something not right with him for some reason.

Agreed. I've never been super high on him.

He's basically a poor man's Naslund, and the game is getting too fast for a player like that.

Greenway is nowhere near as valuable as you think he is lmao
According to a Canucks fan? L get real.. our gm would never trade a player like greenway. Keep dreaming dude. He doesn't want Boeser. Boeser is a cap dump. We aren't breaking up one of the best 2nd/ 3rd line in nhl...

Nucks should retain & retool in an ideal world but the bridge to Petersson & big extension for Miller make that seem unlikely.

He doesn’t drive play.

Picks up secondary assists.

Barely scores.

Can’t play defense.

Can’t skate.

Has a shit contract.

So…..who wants him?

You make a compelling case and just convinced Chuck Fletcher to trade the Flyers’ first

Adam Larssons game tanked too when his dad passed. 2 year later it finally recovered and now he may be better than ever. In that sense, I could see Boeser having a recovered value for whoever gets him.

Canucks should put Boeser in the bumper spot Horvat is in on the PP and scoring goals. Not the right time to trade Boeser for a positive return for the Canucks. If he worked on his skating that would help...that is called working on your weakness during the off season. This past summer was one I expected him to come into camp with something to prove, he gets assists but I don't know what is wrong with him...maybe he needs a change of scenery but who takes his contract on??

It's not good sign when the agent has to find a trade. Boeser doesn't have a NTC. Obviously no team wants him at his salary or they'd have dealt him already. I can see a team like the Hawks taking a flyer on him after they deal Kane and Toews. Perhaps he can bounce back.

what has happened to him?
Injuries to a degree, but also having his dad ill for his entire NHL career was hard on him and he has recently passed on. I would think it might take until next year before he can shake that out of his mind and be 100% committed to hockey. He needs to work on his skating in the off season.

A new opportunity for him might be what is best for him, but with the contract they gave him the Canucks were hoping he would be a 30g 70pt player, his shot hasn't been the same for a while which is too bad as it was lethal to begin his career. A wrist injury will do that though potentially...

After moving DeBrincat and Dach, I don't think the Hawks have any interest in anyone over 20yo at the moment.

Honestly, with the rumours of Nashville needing a scoring winger. Fabbro being on the potential outs. Canucks needing an RHD, wouldn't a deal here possibly work?

Doubt it, we already don't have enough room to play guys like Tomasino and we need RHD more than a winger tbh. Don't see the fit.
