Brock Boeser and Rathbone to Columbus for Gavrikov and a 2023 2nd works well for both teams

Honestly, with the rumours of Nashville needing a scoring winger. Fabbro being on the potential outs. Canucks needing an RHD, wouldn't a deal here possibly work?
if he is washed prob not

if he needs a change of scenery maybe but i dont think his style of play works with Hynes’ system

also we dont have the cap space

id maybe do

Trenin + Luke Prokop for him with like $4M of his salary retained

I don't see him as washed at all.

I think the Preds have like 4-6 million in current space and couldn't take him 1-1 but it could work for both teams.

Either way; the Canucks possibly tanked his value more than his meh attitude on the ice has with this statement and it's just a shame really.

Great hair though

Seen earlier today he’s going to be scratched tonight. 14 points in 18 generally doesn’t get you scratched but that negative 14 opens some eyes. Especially since his worst in his career has been negative 5.

There’s something going on. Doesn’t mean his value plummets but it’s likely effected, as his time in Vancouver doesn’t look like it’s going to end well.

If they can get a young player on an ELC, who’s showing a lot of promise, maybe that’s what we look for. A Holtz or a Berggren. Just have to see if teams like Detroit or NJ would bite. Buffalo would be another one. Doubt they want salary in return.

If you’re at the point of allowing his agent to broker a deal, that means you’ve already been ion the phones and haven’t found a deal.
Given his contract there is no way you're getting Holtz for Boeser. That ship sailed last offseason, and now it's over the horizon somewhere near Leif Erickson and the end of the world.

The only way I can swing this as a “smart” move for Canucks management is that they’re bluffing and they want to use it as a wake-up call. (Still a stupid thing to do though).

I would think Brock would like to be closer to his Family after all the stuff that has happened in the last year so maybe Winnipeg is a good fit for him?

LMFAO Yeah 3 pending UFAs and a 2nd for Boeser, About as  as Detroit giving up Bertuzzi+Veleno and a 1st and 2nd round pick for Boeser Yeah some one actually proposed that.

I dunno. Flipping those UFAs for something is probably better than any offer that comes for Boeser individually.

As far as what Happened to Brock he was never a faster skating and his release has been awfully slow since he got hammers from behind into the board in NY. I also dont think his heart is in the game anymore with the recent passing of his dad.

He is good on the half wall but on an already slow team he can't creat space for himself and his lack of foot space is a liability in the defensive zone on an already slow team

I don’t know why they didn’t just deal Boeser and Miller. Makes you wonder if Rutherford is an idiot or if ownership interfered.
3 gms have acted the same way. I'll let you do the math

Minny such a natural fit…. Brackett drafted him… he’s from there. I think depending on the price they would have interest…

Would either team consider a Boeser for Dumba flip?

Both guys sign long term. Dumba fills a huge need for the Canucks not sure where Boeser fits but he has lots more to give…
I'll do it in a heartbeat.

I won't try and gauge value or whatever because blah blah cap space, blah blah potential, blah blah injuries.

If you are the team acquiring him at minimum you are getting one of the nicest human beings on the earth. The adversity he has gone through, while being dragged through the rumor mill ringer by a merciless media group is nothing short of insane.

To go through the number of injuries he has, and to have to deal with the sickness and eventual passing of his father in a ridiculously more public manner than anyone should ever have to deal with is ludicrous. I hope that what is happening here is that they are trying to facilitate a deal to a team where Brock can lay a bit lower, be a bit closer to family, and just be happy about life again.

Value be darned, even if he went to a team for future considerations, I would see it as a win if it gets the young man to a better place in life.

Value wise I would look at Buch and Bjorkstrand type of value so a 2nd and a 3rd
