If that’s the case aren’t you looking a Monahan type trade?

Honestly, no idea. A few weeks ago, most people here were convinced he was worth a first. Now it’s swung so far the other way. It’s possible a team like Buffalo would be interested but the market should be barren. Probably a bad contract swap more than paying to get rid of him, though.

Yeh that’s what I thought i read before. Gonna be tough with that contract to find a dance partner.

Minny such a natural fit…. Brackett drafted him… he’s from there. I think depending on the price they would have interest…

Would either team consider a Boeser for Dumba flip?

Both guys sign long term. Dumba fills a huge need for the Canucks not sure where Boeser fits but he has lots more to give…

Boeser isn’t a fit in Minnesota. He doesn't play a two way game and is slow. Our gm let fiala go because of his cost and that he didn't play a two way game. So Minnesota isn't making their d worse thus year while taking on cap for boldy

This lowers Boeser's value even more than his lackadaisical play and contract has. A player known to be being shopped has a lower perceived value as they are evidently deemed unwanted.

Now, Boeser is a known quality. He is near ppg. Is one of the better scoring players of his draft class (top 10) and is no slouch on the wing. For whatever reason his interest or drive has fallen off of a cliff but he's not "without value" based on his production. But his perceived value by this team, his current contract and his meh drive on the ice is going to tank what should otherwise be an asset to a lower value which; honestly is gd stupid.

Without any retention and no salary coming back... They'll be lucky to get a 5th.

If they take back some salary though, they might get a 2nd for him, depending on what kind of salary they rake back.
Isn’t Boeser a class act? And he’s decently productive.

Seen earlier today he’s going to be scratched tonight. 14 points in 18 generally doesn’t get you scratched but that negative 14 opens some eyes. Especially since his worst in his career has been negative 5.

There’s something going on. Doesn’t mean his value plummets but it’s likely effected, as his time in Vancouver doesn’t look like it’s going to end well.

If they can get a young player on an ELC, who’s showing a lot of promise, maybe that’s what we look for. A Holtz or a Berggren. Just have to see if teams like Detroit or NJ would bite. Buffalo would be another one. Doubt they want salary in return.

If you’re at the point of allowing his agent to broker a deal, that means you’ve already been ion the phones and haven’t found a deal.

Okay…. Boeser is very solid 2 way and not bad defensively at all.
Nucker showing some compassion for the first player to bring real hope to the Canucks post-2011, despite his great fall from the realm and effect on the team currently.

Love to see it

Maybe them, & the Blues can make something work .

The Blues seem to be just as much of a mess as, the Canucks are .

14 in 18 is a ~64 point pace. Near is a little generous, particularly over the larger sample.

he's got 2 more years on his contract why would his agent need to talk to teams.

Usually when a players agent is told he can shop the player it means the GM has done all he can and there are no takers. Canucks would be lucky to get an expiring contract and just move on.
ahh makes sense

he is 72 points off of a ppg pace (342 gp/270p) while being a fairly unhealthy product, is 9th in his draft class for scoring and is currently 14 points in 18 games or an overall .8 points per game/season pace in his career.

It's not a slouch of a player, there's just something not right with him for some reason.

He is having a decent year, But clearly canucks want cap to spend elsewhere.

I think a 2nd rounder would get it done with no retention

Buffalo doesn't have room for that contract for a slow winger.

How does he have that many points when his analytics are so dreadful? Like all of them are bad.

Honestly, with the rumours of Nashville needing a scoring winger. Fabbro being on the potential outs. Canucks needing an RHD, wouldn't a deal here possibly work?
