I'm baffled by how you can come to the conclusion that he should share a large portion of the blame, based on everything you had just said.

Defensively the Canucks were a complete mess.

Serious question for you. Has Luongo ever lost a game in which he was to blame, and did you admit it at the time? Have the Canucks ever lost a game with Luongo in net when the defense was not "atrocious"?

If the team is always to blame for the losses, then he should get no more credit than anyone for a win. Right?

To be fair, if we are really as good as we think we are then we shouldn't be losing a game to the Calgary Flames off of one play like that. It was a garbage call, but we should have responded by getting that goal back or killing that penalty.

Jon Cooper and Dallas Eakins are both ready for the NHL.

Eakins is contractually forbidden from taking an NHL job until the end of the Marlies season, so he's not an option right now. I would be all for firing AV and bringing Cooper in though. How often does an NHL team fire their coach midseason and immediately poach another organization's AHL head coach as a replacement?

This is the team that hired a guy with no front office or coaching experience to be their GM. We should know better than anyone that sometimes getting new blood is what you need to do if the candidate makes sense. Does anyone think we would be better off with someone like Keenan or anyone else with a track record as a GM?

Great...we will now be seeing more of those calls at a more ridiculous pace from the league in future games.

how bout Mctavish?
I thought he did a good job in the ahl, with the farm team.

Has experience coaching in the nhl(canadian city) and also went to cup finals.

I think they did. It was clear they were out of gas in the third. That penalty cost the canucks at least one point.

I thought calgary looked awful, and we still let the game slip away, did not think we had a good game.

Stop whining about reffing, and win some damn games.

4-4-2 in our last 10. There are 11 teams with more ROW and 4 that are tied with us. 9 teams with a better goal differential. AV should really consider looking in the mirror instead of always complaining about one thing or the other.

We get ridiculous calls against us anyways. Might as well go to town on them. Even if we say nothing the refs have it out for this team. The officiating in general has been worse this season than the last few seasons. It really ruins the game. It is the biggest problem in this league. Get rid of these clowns in and bring in some people that will call a consistent and fair game.

No kidding. AV seems more worried about trying to justify that he did nothing wrong to earn that penalty, rather than trying to fix this teams issues. Have to wonder where his head is at right now. Seems to put mistakes on other peoples shoulders, it's time he takes some blame.

You know you have a coaching problem when he blames 1 call for the whole game...

We were against a very shaky rookie goalie...we should have won.
