Hopefully we can use this coming summer to re-tool and maybe get a re-sign done before the ‘24 offseason of madness. Staal’s 6 million, Patches’ 7, both goaltenders gone is 20 million.
Well, I wouldn’t be so smug about it. 2 of these 10 will drop out. Detroit and…..We’re are 4th after a 10 game sub par skid and now we aren’t making the playoffs?
Twitter used to be onesided cespool of degeneracy.I DIDN'T SEE THE GAME EITHER BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN TOO BUSY TWEETING UP A STORM BECAUSE I CAN NOW DO SO WITHOUT FEAR OF REPRISAL AHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Twitter used to be onesided cespool of degeneracy.
NOW IT’S A WHIRLPOOL OF A FREE FOR ALL DEGENERACY GOING IN EVERY SINGLE PATH.
I think the twitter stuff is great, even though I have like 1 follower and 3 posts.YES ITS REALLY TERRIBLE NOW THAT WE CAN ACTUALLY EXPRESS OURSELVES OR MAYBE EVEN TALK ABOUT A CERTAIN LAPTOP WITHOUT HAVING THE POST DELETED AND ACCOUNT LOCKED OH THE HUMANITY AAAAA
2 straight Cup wins with another Cup finals appearance last season. Yeah I'd be just fine if that were us too.We have essentially the same record as the lightning. Are their fans wringing their hands about how they're going to miss the playoffs? Maybe they are, i don't know. But if you asked me "would you be ok with the same results tampa is getting over the first 20ish games" I'd take it
I think Staal's $6M will be replaced by Staal's $6M. I don't see him going anywhere and I don't see the contract changing enough that we will be jumping for joy.Hopefully we can use this coming summer to re-tool and maybe get a re-sign done before the ‘24 offseason of madness. The difference is one of those teams can take it a bit easier in the regular season and then seemingly turn it up on command come the playoffs while the other team notoriously fizzles out once the games become most important. We have essentially the same record as the lightning. I don’t think he’ll get 6 but he’s definitely not coming back on a “cheap” contract. His lines, no matter the wingers, are always at the top of the league possession wise and tasked with playing the tough matchups. AND he’s outperforming the guy brought in to be the 2nd line heir apparent.I think Staal's $6M will be replaced by Staal's $6M. I THINK TWITTER IS FULL OF IDIOTS IN GENERAL. I HONESTLY USE IT TO FOLLOW URINATINGTREE.YES ITS REALLY TERRIBLE NOW THAT WE CAN ACTUALLY EXPRESS OURSELVES OR MAYBE EVEN TALK ABOUT A CERTAIN LAPTOP WITHOUT HAVING THE POST DELETED AND ACCOUNT LOCKED OH THE HUMANITY AAAAA

I kinda think the canes are trying that approach- Brind’Amour would never say he was ok with it but I think a lot of the players may have the mentality at this point that if they need to save some gas for the end of the year instead of pedal to the metal from game 1. Thats why I'm so hesitant to make any judgements until we see them against the bruins or rangers or capitals and those games mean a little moreThe difference is one of those teams can take it a bit easier in the regular season and then seemingly turn it up on command come the playoffs while the other team notoriously fizzles out once the games become most important.
Twitter is going to skip right over Facebook and go straight to MySpace. So what I’m taking away from this is that Twitter is about to enter its Facebook life stage.
I am hoping that those nearly 15k season ticket holders that they have now would serve as motivation to act and preserve a playoff spot if need be. It cost a lot to get them and I can’t imagine they’d easily risk losing them so fast.Well, I wouldn’t be so smug about it. 2 of these 10 will drop out. Detroit and…..

I've also noticed that, ever since the Twitter staff resigned in swaths, I'm no longer being force fed controversial political topics on my feeds.I also hate that it no longer saves my settings of "Latest tweets first" and keeps "Popular tweets first", which means everytime I open the site, the first thing I see is the most insanely pretentious thing Musk has tweeted out
Twitter is going to skip right over Facebook and go straight to MySpace.
All of its advertisers have bailed, and a significant portion of the user base is bailing by the minute, only for the CEO to come out and openly encourage everyone left to bail as well. Oh, and Twitter's workforce has been gutted by around 83% over the last 2 weeks, with entire teams, such as platform security, completely wiped away. When that app breaks, and it will break, they won't have enough experienced people left to bring it back up, and there's a growing amount of speculation that the Saudis might have paid off Elon to make this happen.
Twitter was great for those who wanted to keep on top of the news by following verified accounts and filtering out the rest of the noise. In fact, it was probably the strongest platform for up to the minute reporting of ongoing current events if you knew how to leverage it properly. Unfortunately, Elon f***ed that 3 times over by allowing anyone to become verified with an $8 payment, immediately diluting that pool and drowning the actual news in a sea of trolls. Watching stock prices plummet because of a blue check mark on a troll account was the tipping point, and there's really no coming back from it. You can't trust the platform anymore, you can't trust the company, and you can't trust the ownership. And you're never going to get that back.Even if it’s not as dramatic as all that, there’s a tipping point where a platform’s user experience outweighs its usefulness.
With Facebook it was the moment when the over-50 crowd flooded the feed with political memes, which interrupted the over-30s flood of irrelevant baby pictures, and at some point you realize the site isn’t actually doing anything for you anymore. With Twitter the tipping point happens when instead of reading the published insights of celebrities and experts, you’re just getting screeched at by trolls and political meme accounts who bought a blue check for $8. The vast majority of the user base doesn’t want to exist in that landscape.
In both cases, the experience of being connected to the platform feels like an essential source of information, up until about 48 hours after you delete your account. The word keeps turning and you don’t feel like you’re missing anything.
I don't know about never getting it back as a platform or company, but I don't see a change at the top coming soon. And until Musk is no longer in charge, I doubt anyone is going to use it as a news aggregation source because of that dilution of actual news.Twitter was great for those who wanted to keep on top of the news by following verified accounts and filtering out the rest of the noise. What I will miss is the ability to see "news" about things "the News" thinks is not worth their time today. For example, what the people of Iran are doing is getting almost no coverage in the US currently by most media. Seeing stuff like this is what I am looking for. I think Musk's plans will be a boon for autocrats every where.Twitter as a "news-aggregation source" had too much influence on our society. I am glad that has been ruined, our country will be better off for it.
