They also struggle to retain Arenas. If you're Arizona who struggles to retain players as it is I don't think you take Michkov. No chance that guy is coming over to play for that team.

He knew MSL would be the coach before anyone. This dude has almost no sources for hockey.
He just speculated teams that would have obvious interest him.
Absolute great insight again....
I think Leo has less offensive upside than the other two, but he's going to be a fine player. I wouldn't be mad.
What do you think the habs would get for a player who openly doesn't want to play for them?
Last time someone told me he did something first when I went and did digging I found out he wasn't.He knew MSL would be the coach before anyone.
Plus for this one he didn’t say that was the teams for sure he said not confirmed.
Found this quote interesting but ndon’t know how accurate it is:
I went through the last 10 drafts and the only forward to be drafted in the top 10 that is 5’10” or less was Marco Rossi (5’9”), a 9th overall pick and Clayton Keller, a 7th overall pick.
The Chances of Matvei Michkov
I wonder if this is the draft to buck that trend.
Generational player is always an exception but who else?Bedard alone will buck it.

I can’t imagine a scenario where that doesn’t happen, Michkov will not make it past Washington and Benson is just way too good (Bedard is self explanatory)Guess there's a possibility Bedard, Michkov and Benson all get drafted in the top 10.

Both Benson and Michkov could fall, especially if the 3 RD get drafted in the top 10 or someone really likes Wood.
On another topic
Habs trying to trade to up but unlikely to.
More likely to trade down than trade up.
Michkov doesn't seem to be in the cards for the Habs, but not completely dead.
Leonard and Reinbacher look like the options for the Habs sans Michkov.
The top 4 looks locked and is as we all expect, the order might be slightly different but Smith isn't expected to be around at 5.
Why would Washington not draft Michkov? With Ovechkin in the team. The lowest Michkov would drop is #8. If the Caps don't draft him. I will be worry to draft him in the top 15.
"A lion? So cliche, man c'mon."Habs will list Michkov as a no-draft because they won't like his answer to which animal he would be

Especially after saying during the combine that ultimately we will take the most talented player available. If they won't take Michkov @ 5 (and I don't think they will) I'd say there could be a case made for Benson being arguably the most talented player left on the board @ 5 for the Habs.Already too small should NOT come from Hughes mouth if asked about not picking Benson...
Carbo would have just answered that regardless of year/talent/position in the standingsEspecially after saying during the combine that ultimately we will take the most talented player available. I was listening to Carbo being interviewed on TSN690 last week and when asked about what he thinks the Habs should do at the draft the first thing out of his mouth was the Habs need size since you can't have too many smaller players on your team since they already have a few. Yes the Habs might need more size but this team also really needs talent.
After Michkov, the most skilled is Benson. I would say the safest after Michkov would be Reinbacher, only because you’re getting a second pairing D one day. That’s despite absolutely hating to draft a non-elite D at 5. Unless you want a safe 3rd line Center+ in Dvorsky.I was listening to Carbo being interviewed on TSN690 last week and when asked about what he thinks the Habs should do at the draft the first thing out of his mouth was the Habs need size since you can't have too many smaller players on your team since they already have a few. Maybe there is another Davey D lurking in the shadows...Generational player is always an exception but who else?
