Bobby Mac just said he is meeting with teams, there's nothing to corroborate right now that we are meeting with Michkov though I'd say it would be incredibly unlikely that we don't, or haven't tried to, meet with him.

To those who are worried about Michkov not wanting to sign with the Habs after his NMC. Imagine the trade value he would have if he is who we think he is and dominates the KHL over the next 3 years? A NHL ready star at age 21 on an ELC? Yeah, I think we would end up fine.

title is misleading. says the habs have a meeting but in reality its that teams have a meeting. no confirmation on the habs. supposed its really likely but its also possible that he doesnt want to speak to us because he doesnt wat to come here so im not presuming until a reporter can confirm it. assume we hear something from the insiders soon.

as an aside, his coach did say that he wants him to play like MSL. Id assume that alone would make him want to meet him

I think Leo has less offensive upside than the other two, but he's going to be a fine player. I wouldn't be mad.

Still not sure if Michkov wants to meet the Habs management team...if he doesn't want to play in Montréal...the Habs could still draft him and then trade him....Hugo will need to make sure that the Washington Capitals overpay to have the rights to baby Michkov.

What do you think the habs would get for a player who openly doesn't want to play for them?

I actually don't think they have a huge interest but it never hurts to be perceived as thorough by the fan base.
