If Habs draft Michkov, they better surround him and Caufield with bigger bodies.

Salf, Dach, Dubois, and Suzuki who's thick and durable would be the other 4 top 6 forwards at the moment...

Caufield - Suzuki - Dubois
Michkov - Dach - Slaf

Wouldn’t suck, at all.

For all we know Carlsson might bust, or Fantilli. Not all of the top 4-5 guys will work out as much as we thought.

Swedish players are made differently, every young top prospect from Sweden has dominated in the NHL. the chances he bust are like less than 1%?

Fantilli though, i can buy that.

Even Bedard, with the lockdowns, the data are skewed, we have to see him play againts real pros.

Slaf looked really good pre-draft, at camp though.... OOOOFFFF

Bedard/Fantilli/Carlsson/Smith/Mitchkov

At 6th. Arizona have the worst picks. Many good players and they can get a bust. At 5th, there is no hesitation.

yup, what I keep saying..
can't have 4 guys on the top 2 lines that are small
You can certainly have them on your roster if thery are/ were your BPAs. For instance, I would certainly draft Michkov without size being a consideration.

You then turn around and deal from strength, excess/ redundancy to fill needs and optimize your asset mix.

What would be ill-advised is to select a lower tier player with an early pick just cause the BPA at your drafting slot, is a smaller player.

According to Elliot Friedman, 5% chance he's not a Hab by summer 2024, 95% chance he is. So, in that sense I was projecting based on the most likely scenario.
How does Friedman even arrive at putting a number on the options?

I get it, it’s just another way to be emphatic.

It’s like someone saying that Friedman’s lower lip overhang is 95% greater than his upper lip. :sarcasm:

His huge Covid beard pulled his lips further out of alignment.......from my calculations the beard is responsible for 62.47% of lower lip misalignment. A Cheech Marin mustache will be required to correct this issue.

I digress :help:

How does a poster say I'm 80% sure Columbus picks Carlsson over Smith and 70% sure Grier takes Michkov over Smith?

It's just putting a number on one's sense of the chances.
